Make it possible to remove the column on the right with Look Up option
As many others have noticed - It is difficult to get the details of the portfolio as they are covered behind the "Look up box". If you make it possible to hide this box, you would solve the problem.

Portfolio uses wrong Currency Exchange rate
When I add USD stocks to my CAD portfolio with a Buy Date some time in the past, it calculates the total cost using today's USD/CAD exchange rate. It would be more useful if it used the exchange rate from the Buy Date, or allowed me to enter the exchange rate manually.

Provide ability for side bar to be moved elsewhere or to turn it off.
The sidebar cuts into the space normally used by columns. The old set up, where the info currently in the sidebar was at the top is preferable. Hence, suggesting that there is ability to move the sidebar to the top, bottom, or to turn it off entirely. Alternatively, please provide a link that enables switching to the "old" version of the finance site.

Improvements to Yahoo Finance
Have been a user of Yahoo Finance for several years in order to track equity holdings - excellent platform. Now, not so much. Example, there does not appear to be any way of adding a "lot" to existing holdings i.e. buying on dips - something which was previously available. Also, the notes column seems to be a little haywire - previously used it to enter, for example, a share target price - now, that doesn't seem to function as before. Please try to "fix" these two items. Many thanks.

Since the new changes I can't sort "Earnings Date" for my stock holdings in date order anymore
Allow "Earnings Date" to be sorted in date order again. It only sorts them randomly for some reason.
-
Why don't you allow to add a short position anymore?
The new lot pop-up is nice but why is does not allow to add a short position (with shares < 0)?

Include manually enter value for custom symbol
When a portfolio includes any custom symbol, the total market value and return are off from what it is included. A feature to import or include the daily price and dividend split/info for custom symbol will be helpful.

Kudos, YF..! You've done good.
Yes, YF is better than M* and Bloomberg. I use YF as my "go-to" site for everything. The day you change to a paid subscription model is when I will stop using Yahoo. So far, you are the best. News dissemination must be open to all.

Dark Mode Please
Easier on the Eyes: Dark mode is gentler on your eyes, especially if you’re looking at the screen for a long time or in a dim room.
Better Readability: It can make text and numbers easier to read by providing good contrast against the dark background.
Saves Battery: If you’re using a phone with an OLED screen, dark mode can help save battery life.
Looks Cool: Many people just like how dark mode looks. It feels modern and sleek.
Less Distraction: A darker screen can help you focus better on the information without the bright light being distracting.

Correct Total Dividend Income in Yahoo Finance Portfolio
In Yahoo Finance Portfolio, the Total Dividend calculation is incorrect. I am not sure how it is calculated but it is too high for each stock that has a dividend.
Cheers

Currency not indicated on Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement unlike Income Statement
Ticker NASDAQ:AYA when looking at the Income statement, it indicates that the currency is in BRL, when looking at the Balance Sheet and Cashflow Statement this is not indicated. Are they also in BRL ? It doesn't say.

The Bank of Nova Scotia (BNS.TO) historical prices data error
1/2/2024 dividend has been coded incorrectly in that it is adjusting (reducing) the "Open", "High", "Low", and "Close" values for 12/29/2023 and earlier - this is incorrect as it should only be adjusting the "Adj. Close"

Dividend Yield at Average Holding Price
I believe a dividend yield calculated at the average purchase price of a stock would be a useful metric to have.

Portfolio currency
When entering new cash transactions in a portfolio (deposits or withdrawals) the default currency should be the currency of the portfolio, NOT the US dollar. Thank you

portfolio 2.0
Can you PLEASE allow users to maintain access to the Basic Portfolio interface, rather than forcing us to upgrade to Portfolio 2.0? The latter is extremely impractical for me, with every transaction tracked, and doesn't let me manage the balance of each stock in my different investment accounts like I did with lots before. I don't want the cash functionality option at all, but even after I turn it off, the requirement to track transactions is still there. If I can just keep my basic view, I'll be happy!

A portfolio history of asset total value would be interesting to see. Thx.
I would find it interesting to have the ability to see a portfolio's asset value history over a selected time range, such as 1 and 3 years.
