  2. Pls Show Number of Emails in Trash & Spam Folders

    Hi, This is an important feature that all emails have, such as Gmail and Outlook.com and you used to have. Please display the number of unread emails in Spam and Trash folders. Thanks!

    If you mouse over the folder name, it will display the number of messages in the folder.

    We are sorry to hear you cannot find your folder. If you have scrolled down on the left side of your mailbox and still cannot see all of your folders (under “Views”), please file a restore request via the link below.

    Please note, restore requests are time sensitive and while we will do everything we can to restore the emails, the requests cannot always be fulfilled.

  4. keeps deleting emails that I haven't read

    When going through my emails I always mark as read before deleting them. Have noticed more and more emails being sent to trash that I haven't read, but have seen in my inbox. No idea how they are getting there. Really frustrating as I have to go through my inbox and trash folders just to make sure I've not missed anything. Will have to move to Outlook. They don't seem to change format ever 2 minutes and I don't have this issue there

    Please check the filters on the account to make sure there isn’t one set up that might make your emails go to the trash folder: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15994.html

    In case you do not have any incoming mail filters set-up on your Yahoo account, please check the incoming mail filters, and junk mail filter, in the mail applications that you are using (e.g. Outlook, Mac Mail, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, mobile email application).

  5. Old mail

    I have just logged into my Yahoo account for the first time in a long time. All my old emails are gone. I want them back!

    If you did not sign into your account within 12 months the account is deactivated. Unfortunately, you will not be able to reactivate it or re-create the same email address. You can always sign up for a new Yahoo account.

  7. It happened again!

    It happened again! I had 17 items in my 'trash' folder, but YaHoo! apparently decided to delete four of them, because I now only have 13 items in the folder. Why does YaHoo! have the authority to decide when I delete something from my 'trash' folder? Now I've lost data that I might have wanted to save in another folder (pending subsequent e-mails).

    By default, both the Trash and Spam folders empty monthly to keep your account tidy. The trash deletion frequency can’t be changed. We apologize for the inconvenience and recommend saving the info in a different folder if you may need it in the future.

  9. Messages lost after update!!

    Today (5-Jan-18) you've made some changes... and I've lost ALL my messages. Those from INBOX... those SENT... I don't know if I will be able to follow some works if I can't retrieve them again.
    Where are they?

  10. sent emails don't show in sent folder in default sort

    it's not an idea. my sent emails used to show up when I clicked "sent" now i get "NO MAIL". if i click on the sort to oldest first, all emails show up except yesterday's. I can see all of them in the correct order on my iPad, my smart phone, but not on the PC. I'm missing in the reverse sort, oldest first, those after 6:00pm on April 9th. I sent many emails yesterday and this morning, but I get temp error: 15, and clicking for help does absolutely nothing. Yahoo has the worst help system, to be fair,…

    Hi there,

    To delete a folder, please make sure it is empty first. Once the folder is empty you can click on the downward arrow next to the folder name and select “Delete folder” from the dropdown.

  13. spam

    I didn't used to get SO MUCH SPAM in my inbox. What has happened and why is so much spam getting through and not being routed to the spam folder? I've asked this question before. I also see where numerous other people have asked the same question. Why has this not been addressed?

  14. Your "Block Sender" does not work. To add "Block Filter" does not work either. Please improve on it. Spam is annoying!

    Congrats! Expiring soon is a spam that comes into my mail disguise in many forms. Unable to get rid of it. Your "Block Sender" does not work.

    If an email is slated as Spam when it hits our servers, it will go there before being affected by any filters on the account. Our Spam filter takes precedence over everything else. If these emails are going into your inbox even after being blocked, please let us know on our Help pages or our forums:

  15. sorting my inbox

    I'd like to be able to sort my inbox by sender, but all it allows me to do is sort by date or read or unread. it sucks.

  16. filters no longer work

    i have used filters to sort incoming email since i started using yahoo. they worked FINE until the latest version updates and now NOTHING seems to work on any of them....this was a great feature that needs to be fixed in this new version.

    Filters work on a system of precedence: filters higher on the list will overrule those lower. Also keep in mind that our Spam filters take precedence over any other filter or setting on the account. This means that if an emails is determined to be Spam, it will go straight there without being affected by any filter(s) on the account.

  17. quit auto-deleting emails

    Stop autodeleting emails after a certain amount of days - keep them ALL until I DELETE THEM. I keep emails for certain things and they can be over 1 month old. I try to restore my mail and nothing comes back. Now I lost a ton of items that I really NEEDED!

    To create a new folder, you can select the “New Folder” text under the “Folders” section along the left side of Yahoo Mail. Just make sure that this section isn’t hidden; click on the “Show” button next to “Folders” if it is.
