I liked how I could choose a picture from your stock photos as a background in the old email. I had picked a picture of a VW minivan with dry hills in the background, and I miss that scene!

Dull Colours
The colours are about as bright as the numpties at Yahoo! that decided to "improve" the service. Dull, dull, dull. Time to wield the firing letters at Yahoo!, and not before time.

Yahoo Mail should allow the user to choose.
Yahoo Mail should allow the user to choose if they want the new look or to stay with the older one. Also as Yahoo Mail have asked for the users opinions on how to improve New Mail, please respect and seriously consider those who wish to remain with the older style of Yahoo Mail.

The new design/appearance is a big FLOP. You please don't keep on doing *****, else there are plenty of email services to switch over.

The New Look
I haven't had performance issues and to be honest, the "message has been deleted" banner doesn't block the "Delete" button like it used to but I just don't like the look. I'm sure I can change some of the settings, but I didn't have to change anything until it switched over today.
I don't like the bright blue box around the message. The Yahoo Mail header is too thick. The headings in the message list "yesterday," "last week," etc are too thick. I just don't like the look. -
My email address and others that I use from like microsoft @ live and @hotmail are the same and I cannot see the @ yahoo or @ live ending
All my e-mails are pretty much the same name and my names are long, well I have 4 emails coming thru yahoo, and cannot see if they are from HOTMAIL or LIVE or YAHOO or what, Can you show the whole email name under MY specific email where I select which e-mail account I want to read from?
