To improve it, just go back to what it was. Obviously, you do not even read these complaints. The new mail SUCKS!
To improve this new mail all you have to do is get rid of it, and stop messing things up by your "improvements". It is very obvious that you do not even listen to what people say about it. The new mail SUCKS! Big time!

Old format is better
Obviously all the unwanted directives on not being up-to-date on the email app to it being slow are all bad. Gives us back the old format, IT WORKED

Its showing so many adds some time its getting irritating...try to differentiate the inbox current message etc

unsubscribe window is a useless feature
A very useless feature since 1) 99% of time it doesn't know how to unsubscribe. 2) It only gets in the way since 99.99% of people unsubscribe from what they don't want. 3) NONE OF IT'S SUGGESTIONS ONLY <1% OF PEOPLE WANT TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM. THESE IDIOT'S WITH THEIR NEED TO DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN MAKING IT ACTUALLY WORK REAL WELL.

What is with all of the wasted space? Nothing fits anymore!
All of my emails are now too wide to fit on the screen, but I can't access a left/right scroll bar, so I have to open each one in it's own window. I can't identify what got wider, but I do not recall ever having this problem before. I've tried adjusting the size of the window, but nothing is working. I cannot use this platform until this is adjusted.

FIX my ability to reply to responses from OTHER posters to MY comments
TWO WEEKS & I am still NOT ABLE TO RESPOND TO REPLIES to the comments I have posted. The other persons reply flashes for a brief SECOND & THEN DISAPPEARS. It happened once before & YOU FIXED it. My browser has been cleaned, PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE.

Offer a yearly subscription payment option in addition to the monthly pester-you-to-death choice. I'll happily sign up for Yahoo Mail+ then.

STOP having the 'make more room' ad EACH time I look at my mail. If not, I will not find it hard to use another mail service.
you have me "X" out each time I see each one of my emails. Each time. SO if I have 100 emails..... I do not wish to pay for my email to have 'more room'.

want my old mail back....I liked being able to get to news feed easier...can't FIND news feed now :(
I want my old mail back...do NOT like this new mail format...have tried it before and it's too confusing...now I don't have a choice...I LIKE to be able to click on news feed when I want to see whats going on...unable to find that in this new format...I PAY for Pro so should be able to get what I want...soooooo not happy :(

As an email service Ads should not be part of the service. It does not look clean when every time i press settings i get Ads. Please remove Ads.

ELIMINATE SPLIT SCREEN VIEW WHEN OPENING ATTACHMENTS!
Eliminate the horrible split screen interface when previewing attached pdfs. Interface also doesn't allow viewing the attachment in multiple tabs. The split screen just makes both halves unreadable, and then requiring the pdf to open in a new overlay means you can't easily reference and compare between them, and requires MANY unnecessary clicks, and is extremely slow to navigate. In addition, then pdfs always open zoomed all the way out, also requiring even more unnecessary clicks. THIS IS GARBAGE DESIGN! GET RID OF IT!
