  2. Web Attacks on Yahoo

    I keep getting redirected out of Yahoo and Norton tells me it's prevented a web attack. Sooo, I added an ad blocker. It's been enormously helpful. Except now yahoo keeps telling me my browser settings are interfering with mail features. It wants me to remove the ad blocker. Ya think? Get rid of the virus or whatever on your page, Yahoo, and I'll remove the ad blocker for you right away. Otherwise, it's staying so I can actually access my mail.

    The Spam filter takes precedence over filters set up on the account, including blocked addresses. This means that if something is deemed as Spam, it will go the Spam folder regardless of what’s set up on the account.

    Keep in mind that you can empty the entire Spam folder at once using the Trashcan icon next to it.

  4. the timestamp on messages being sent is off by 5 hours !! Fix this or how can i change??

    this is not an idea, it is a bug that needs to be fixed. Timestamp is WRONG.

    Hi there,

    This may be an issue with your timezone settings. You can manually set your timezone by:

    - Click on the mail settings icon in the upper right
    - Select more settings
    - Select Viewing Email
    - Below Closest city and timezone enter the city
    - Follow the remaining steps from there.

    If legit emails are ending up in the Spam folder, the best thing to do is to mark them as Not Spam. This will help them go to the Inbox in the future. Adding the sender to your Address Book will help, also.

    Hi there,

    You should be able to access any mail you have not deleted, regardless of the date from an active mailbox. To access your oldest mail, click on “Sort” on the top left of the message list and select “oldest to newest”

    If emails from your Yahoo account are going to your recipient’s Spam folder, make sure they mark them as Not Spam on their end.

    If you’re a company sending to Yahoo and your emails are going to users’ Spam folders, you can reach out to our Postmaster team for help:

  9. Filter is not working

    Filters are not working
    I have setup some filters but they are not working. I have worked with filters in Yahoo Mail since the 90's, and never had any problems with them until now. I wish I can post some screenshots here so you can verified that my filters setup are already correct. I filtered up emails using their sender and sent them to specified folders, but they keep arriving at my inbox.

    Keep in mind that filters work on a priority basis, with filters higher on the list taking precedence over those below them. Also, emails filtered as Spam will not be filtered, but will go to the Spam folder instead. You can find out more about filters in this article:

    I got some message,headline from yahoo???
    But I think these are hacker!!!
    Please check ,seek and eradicate these threatening for human safety

  15. Need to add email address/domains to a "Safe Sender" list so that Yahoo Mail does not mark it as "Message not accepted for policy reasons".

    If your sender is getting the error, “Message not accepted for policy reasons” there may be an issue on the their end. Have them reach out to our Postmaster team with the full error message:

    You can add the address to the blocked address list, set up a filter to direct these emails to the Trash, or mark the email as Spam to keep it from going into your mailbox.

  17. Tiring! Boring! What happened with Yahoo???

    The security system is unbearable. Every moment requiring control by the cellphone, and again codes by cell and number of cell again !! ... A password is more than enough for security and does not disturb us with such a bump of codes! Tiring! Boring! Yahoo needs to take classes with Google! It was the best mail in the world, and managed to become poor, slow, polluted and full of frills. I am seriously considering abandoning this email ....o precisa ter aulas com a Google!     Your two factor authentication is very busted. firefox gets into a loop. I need to switch to chrome after authenticating. Need to clean up cookies in the browsers, etc...and then start all over...

    marking something as SPAM no longer sticks....every week i'm getting emails from the same addresses, every week I mark them as SPAM and the following week they show up again! Please fix your filter glitch!!!
