Why does yahoo decide that e-mails i delete unread is spam while real spam does come through to my inbox?
I have been noticing that Yahoo decides that normal, non spam e-mails, that i do not necessarily read all the time are being shifted to spam, why?! I do not want that, i want to decide which mails i want to delete without reading them, i do want to see them. At the same time, real spam from nonsense e-mail addresses is coming through to my inbox. What is that about?!
The more often you mark these emails as Spam or Not Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html

Why is there no spam email? None in over a week. How can I be sure no good emails are going there when it doesn't come anymore?
If you find emails in your Spam folder that don’t belong there, you’ll need to mark the messages as "not spam’. Here’s how: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
Also, sometimes a filter can cause emails to bypass your inbox and be sent to either the trash folder or a different folder. You may need to check any filters you’ve created to make sure your messages are correctly organized: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html
Your instructions for removing extra emails does not work. Email alias does not exist. There are emails there that aren't even mine. Please remove all extra emails or give me the means to accomplish this task.
Don’t get locked out of your Yahoo account! It’s important to keep a valid mobile phone number or email address linked to your account in case you ever lose your password, want to switch over to a secure, password-free sign in, need to verify your identity if you sign in from an unfamiliar place, or want to receive notifications of changes made to your account. I recently provided my email address as part of a consumer response, and now I find my email is being routinely spammed daily by fictitious email addresses. These emails are coming from addresses where a valid email address has been hijacked, and the "new" user has simply placed an additional part in the address. Such as Joe.Blow@vresp##.amazon.com or Donotrespond@vmail##.infonet.net. Can you restore the use of the * as a wildcard identifier so I don't have to individually block all these? As in @vresp.. or @vmail... This used to work, but it is no longer recognized as a legitimate email address.

Thank you for the feedback. We will that this into consideration on future updates,
In the mean time I would suggest mark these emails as “spam.” This will tell our internal filters to block then before they arrive.

Can you please fix this issue?
For security reasons, it isn’t possible to update or change the date of birth listed on your Yahoo account, even if you entered it incorrectly when you first registered your account. You’ll need to open a new account if you’d like your account to reflect your accurate info.
