I am getting hundreds of unwanted marketing emails which are distraction to my work and most of the time i am missing imp e mails.Pl stop.

If you've started to receive an endless flow of junk email, you may be the victim of spam bombing. This is a tactic used by bad actors and hackers to distract you from seeing emails that really are important to you. This can also be an indication that another account has been compromised.

access contacts
I need to delete contacts that are no longer valid. There is no way to access the contact list. How about making contacts easy to find and change
To access your contact lists:
- Click on the contacts icon in the upper right ( just to the right of sort)
- From there you will be take to all of your contacts.
- Click on lists to access your lists
- From the list named click on the down arrow to the right to switch which list you are viewing
- Click Edit to modify the list.
- Click the x to remove someone from a list
- To add someone type in their name or email address under Add Contacts.Thank you!

Delete single email button.
In the new format the delete single email button was moved to the far right. As you are looking at emails the eye is drawn to the left half of screen. That is where the sender info and beginning of subject is. When the delete button was on the left you eye and your cursor is in that area making it easier to click delete in that area. Now that it is on the far right your eye is looking left but to delete you have to navigate to the far right to delete a message.…If you want to delete groups of emails at once, check out our Tips and Tricks post:
Keep in mind that the Spam and Trash folder empty themselves at random intervals throughout the week. To hold onto emails longer, it’s better to Archive them instead. Archived emails are never deleted unless you do so manually.
Sometimes when emails reappear after being moved/deleted or suddenly move to the Trash, it’s due to syncing issues between the account and a mail app. If you access the account through a non-Yahoo app, you may want to remove the account from the device and re-add it to resolve any future syncing issues.

lost my password.
One can no longer recover one's password. All that's available is having a code sent to one's phone and then typing in the code. This has locked me out of my netflix account as it keeps asking for my yahoo password (it's linked to my yahoo account.) I am in the process of moving all of my important email out of yahoo and into gmail. Then I will close this account. Extraordinarily stupid, not to mention it's discriminatory towards people without smart phones (like my mother).

Please be sure you click on the settings wheel in Mail, not in Help. We have found that some users are trying to make the change to switchback to classic Mail in help.yahoo.com rather than in Mail.yahoo.com. You will not find the option to switchback in Help. You will find it in Mail.

I am an expat in Vietnam. My other mail, hinsaigon changed to fully in Vietnamese and I do not understand anything. How can I change it ?
The language setting on an account is determined by where the account was registered and can’t be changed currently. If your language changed suddenly to something, let us know on our forums and we can investigate this further for you:

It used to be that I could notify you about an email I thought you should check out. I think it was a subcategory of marking it as spam. E.g. Just got an email from mailer daemon saying they couldn't deliver a message. The problem is I never sent the msg AND I've never heard of the person it couldn't reach. I wanted to send this to you to see if my account has been hacked. I marked it as spam and it just disappeared. NOT what I had in mind happening. Fix it so we have easy access to…

If emails from legitimate senders are going to Spam, make sure to marked them as Not Spam, as opposed to just moving them out of the Spam folder. If the sender is a company or a corporate address, It also be helpful for them to reach out to our Postmaster team (postmaster.yahoo.com)

DELAYS in receiving emails!
About every other day, my incoming emails are delayed for HOURS! All day long, i'll check for emails...then in the evening, i'll receive 6+ and all h have time stamps from hours earlier that day! This is unacceptable. I see others post this comment/complaint...yet their complaint is noted as "complete" and you cant vote on it and escalate the issue any higher! TERRIBLE

Change the name that appears on my outgoing emails
There is no way for me to change the name on the outgoing emails from our Yahoo Small Business account. I've tried all of the ways that the support team have given me, which look like they work until I send an email and the recipient still thinks they are talking with my boss instead of me. Solutions on the support site either don't work (https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Yahoo-Help-Community/ct-p/english), or are broken links (https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Tips-and-tricks/Sent-emails-show-wrong-name-in-Yahoo-Mail/td-p/445701/jump-to/first-unread-message). I'm pretty disappointed in this service that as far as i know we are paying $70 a year for.
You can update your sending name in Yahoo Mail, by going to Settings-More settings-Mailboxes, then click your account and then edit the ‘’Your name’’ section.

You can put the "block" function back in the "more" options. Sorting through all the spam to find personal emails is a pain in the *****
Easy, . . reinstate the blocking function. How hard can it be? You ask how you can improve New Mail, . . . you have your answer !
