AD's
The **** ad's slow the email process, during the composition of an email as the ad changes it freezes the program. There is no need to have ad's in the email section, seriously how many people do you honestly think watch the **** at all? I'll give this **** a chance, but there should be an option to change back .

I do not have unlimited data at home usage as there is no hardwire connection available and these ads just add to my data usage and also slow down my email. Be great to have just a picture and not a running video!

Yahoo is the most annoying free email! It has so many ad's that slow the retrieval of email and take too much space!

I agree with all the comment related to this issue-the Ads just slow the process of working with the e-mails ,But the new simpler version now I like also...

Advertising may be inevitable, but ads that do NOT have animation would help speed things up! I am so frustrated with not being able to check items that I need deleted or moved because of the ads constantly changing or animating. I have established other email accounts with other services so I can get rid of my Yahoo in the near future. It's just that frustrating Yahoo!! Listen to your customers!

Although I understand that getting ads is part of using a free e-mail software, there is a threshold, when waiting for an ad (look at the bottom of the screen to see them pass by) has priority over loading mail for instance, or loading a complicated screen (like the weather...). Plus, honestly, if you are waiting for your screen to load, and the ads are in the way, what is the probability that someone will read them if they are annoying?

Agreed. They slow things down. I make it a point NOT to look at them or patronize them.

Advertising and ADs are unbearable in the mailbox. They create distraction and make unprofessional Yahoo mail.

True! Unless the adverts come up, nothing else works well on the page. Looks like Yahoo is holding its users to ransom. Let the adverts play or else get a suboptimal service. Why?

In all honesty, having ads in the inbox is not acceptable. At least with spam emails they can be blocked and filtered but with ones from the email provider I'm forced to deal with the 'click me and give me your money even though we sell your data to advertisers anyways' as my first item every time I log on. I refuse to let you double dip into my wallet + personal info, and I would like to not be pestered by your ads every time I log on.

I'm not sure if this happens to others, but as I'm typing something in, the cursor sometimes erases a letter automatically. Very frustrating.

GET RID OF THE ADS!

I'd suggest timing out the ad servers when they bog down to enforce performance standards on the ad server providers. This is a huge issue creating lag on all sites I commonly use.

I don't like the ads at the top of my email list however they appear less bandwidth/graphics intensive compared to those banner ads / flash graphics in the right hand column. Those can REALLY slow down page loading. If I had to really choose, create a separator on top of the email list to differentiate between ads and my email.
