The folders hierarchy does not show any unread emails.
The folders hierarchy does not show any unread emails in the box name. If there are any unread emails, I have to go to each folder and check. I have quite a few filters and it is tedious to go to each folder and check if there were any emails on that day.

Bring back the number next to "Folders" that says how many new emails are in all the folders.

It was better when unread messages in the spam folder was displayed. I check my spam regularly when I know there are messages in there. Please display the number of unread emails in the spam folder.

Unread emails in folders are not counted. Only unread emails in Inbox are. It was better before.

I agree. I want to see the total of unread emails on the top folder!

Old mail showed total number of unread emails next to the "Folders" parent. This lets me know whether I need to scroll down the folder list. It's annoying that now I have to scroll down the list just to see if there are folders with unread mail.
