spam
Why do items that are sent to your spam folder now still have embedded links active? In the old mail, any links in an item (which are usually bogus or even dangerous) were not active to click on, as a safety measure. If they really were not spam, you would move them to the inbox (or some other folder, I guess) and then you could use the links.

It's mail. I receive it. I click it. Or delete it. Or transfer to Spam.
Don't make it more complicated.

If I've marked an email as SPAM, why do you allow the same message to keep reappearing? Work smarter Yahoo!

I went back to "old" Yahoo and my SPAM always had active links. Maybe when I'm 90, I will be less able to do things so that I click on those links; however, at this point in my life, I am cautious of the links. I recommend also that you go into your settings and not allow the images to automatically open when you are opening each email. Only click to show images if you are opening a known and trusted email sender. Is there a way for Yahoo's system to detect email that are not in their users' "Contacts" and automatically send such email to SPAM? My opinion is that users need to be careful when dealing with SPAM messages. Sometimes, a SPAM message ends up in my "Inbox". Those can fool you, too. Sometimes I have to think carefully about who that strange email is from. We all need to be careful with our email, online and with everything else we do online. I am not certain there is technology at the point of origin that can safeguard us from everything.
