Filters
You used to be able to "filter" emails straight from the body of the email. Now there's not an option for that. Instead you have to open the settings, create a filter, going back and forth to the actual message to create the filter. Bring back the option of "filter emails like this" in the body of the email.

How DO you set up a filter? I can't figure it out and the cute little video is so annoying I can't watch it

Hiding the ability to make filters is evil and makes baby Jesus cry.

Good suggestion. Wasn't able to figure out how to create a filter without spending some time to search for it.

Also, provide tab notification or unread email count to include emails that are automatically filtered into folders. Right now, only emails that stay in the "in box" show in the notification, filtered emails are not.

The old way of filtering was as good as it could be. The new way - with going to a new page and having to type in the filter conditions (which I can't seem to copy from the headers now. What's with that?) in a word: Sucks!! Return it to the old way!!

The old Yahoo mail was so much easier to add filters. I already found how to add filters in the new mail, but the old way was MUCH better and more efficient. Having to copy the email I'm trying to filter from now, then going into the settings, etc. is a waste of time. Being able to click on an email and then clicking "filter emails like this" where it copies the information was so much easier. This new method is pretty much useless now.

On the old version you got the option to block spams by right clicking on the header address where's that gone? Why make it difficult to block unwanted mail???

Why did Yahoo remove the "filter messages like this" link? With so much email, we need to be able to filter subscriptions and promotions to folders automatically.

I am using filter to move incoming emails to specific folders based on subject. The new mail now has the creation of filters in the settings menu whereas in the previous design, it was one of the More option directly in bar above the message.
can this be put back again please
thanks, Roger -

I don't find adding filters to be as intuitive in the new mail as in the old mail program. It would help to add the option to create filters back to the inbox.

Make it easy to create filters with a right click like the older version did.

Creating a filter in new yahoo mail is extremely inefficient/inconvenient and is a huge regression in usability.

Setting up filters used to be easy. all one would have to do is right click on the email and then click on filter and designate where I wanted it to go. NOW it takes twice as long as I have to create a filter and using cut and paste from the email, past the info in the filter criteria area and click save ... PLEASE SWITCH THE FILTER PROCESS BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS, THANX
