Filters
You used to be able to "filter" emails straight from the body of the email. Now there's not an option for that. Instead you have to open the settings, create a filter, going back and forth to the actual message to create the filter. Bring back the option of "filter emails like this" in the body of the email.

AGREE!!!! Having the option to "Filter emails like this" is easy. The "new" mail makes adding filters harder not easier...

The new system is horrible for setting and using filters. You have to manually copy the email address you would like to filter and then navigate settings before finally pasting in the prompts. With the old system you could right click and simply "Filter emails like this" and be done with 90% of this new process. Bring that back or add a "Filter emails like this" to the more options of the email message.

the rules set by me for moving incoming to specific folders doesn't seem to be working, properly The emails which earlier automatically were forwarded to specific folders now land up in my inbox/

Before I received an email from Yahoo indicating my browser was out of date and I was encouraged to go to a different version of email, I was able to block addresses in my spam folder. Being the senders address is alpha and numeric character, over 30 in length, I am not going to manually enter in the addresses. Please add the ability for me to block senders in my spam folder as I did previously.

This filtering process in the new version is horrible!!!! At least have an option in more actions after selecting a message to apply/create a filter based on the email address - then modify if necessary from pre-filled the filter modal. Having to create a filter from scratch is absolutely nuts in this day and age.

This is horrible!!!! At least have an option in more actions after selecting the message to apply/create a new filter for this email. As easy as the right-click action was in the legacy version.

Yes why have you removed this function!!!?! Are you trying to drive people away from Yahoo... cos your doing a great job at it!!
I heavily relied on filters for my email experience one of the key reasons why I have stuck with Yahoo for the last 30+ years... but now this is gone... its frustrating to have to manually move emails I will check at a later stage into folders that I have set up!!!
Please advise what your Devs and experts are going to do about this, please FCOL... have this function returned...
Thank you

Filters need to be more intuitive. If I'm looking at an email that I want to create a filter, why is there not an option on the email window to do so that suggests the sender or subject to start the process? The old mail had this, this new format made it less user friendly to allow more ads

Previous version of email provided a very simple process for setting filters by allowing a right click on the e-mail header which opened up and in part auto completing the filter template. New version requires me to open up settings and start from scratch ? This is irritating and time consuming.

In the old version it was very easy to block unwanted mail. In this version it is difficult. Please make this function more like the old version.

Completely agree. This poor functionality could be what causes me to abandon Yahoo mail. I have an "ads" folder where I filter email from stores etc. to. These are emails I might possibly want for coupons, deals, etc. but don't want cluttering my inbox. Make the filter a one click deal. Going the route Yahoo help suggests is crazy - multi steps.

Adding filters to incoming mail should be simple, editing existing filters should also be simple. Adding new contacts and removing and editing existing contact should be simple as well.

Yes, I would like to thank the idiot who removed the "Filter emails like these" button when viewing an email and replaced it with "Block sender". I have a bizarre idea--keep both of them!

Agreed. New design is like going back in time to clunky programs of the past. Awkward if not impossible to use.

I agree. I've been a devoted yahoo email user, but the abandonment of a good filter may make me change as well. New system is very cumbersome - old one was super easy. Plus there is no longer an option to "mark as read." PLEASE RESTORE that valuable option!
