Please indicate if there are emails in spam! I almost missed paying a bill on time because it was in spam and I did not notice it!

Put the number indicator back. Why in the world would that be deleted? Who thought it was a good idea to help you forget to check it?

I really miss NOT having a count on the SPAM and TRASH folders. Sometimes I am so busy deleting emails and have forgotten to check that they were empty when I put emails into them.
I download my emails into Outlook and it used to be that they at least appeared as having been read so that when I remembered I hadn't checked before I was ready to delete, it was fairly easy to tell because the highlighed ones were ones I had never seen but for whatever reason, they are no longer shown as having been read when I download them. It would surely help to have a count displayed; I found a very important email today that had automatically been put in SPAM so I was able to get it back to my INBOX.
Thanks and hoping you will shortly be displaying a count!! -

Certain features are missing from your new mail service. Spam and Trash folders are showing no messages when there certainly are. And the "Block" feature is no longer available.

Would love to see how many items/emails are in the SPAM and TRASH folders without having to open those folders -- something similar to INBOX or DRAFTS folders

the spam box should show how many new messages are in there such that we remember to go look. It is normal that proper emails slip into the spam box, so important to look regularly.

Yeah, that might be good too.

I just ran into a situation where a website was sending me a verification email to register my account on there. Because there was no indication that the Spam folder contained any email, aside from manually opening it, it took me some time to figure out where the emails were going. Even bolding the name of the spam folder would help users to know that they have new mail. For comparison, Mozilla Thunderbird bolds the folder's name and displays the email count.

Put HOME in the top bat again rather than the way it is. Too many clicks and deletes to get back to home page.

Definitely requires a number indicator back on there.

In the sidebar list of folders, for Spam, bring back the numeric indicator of how many spam emails are there.

in the new yahoo mail , I currently JULY 17th , NOT seeing the number of spam I get, no number next to the spam folder , but when I look in , LOTS of spam , I normally check this folder daily.
as suggested ,I tried to move the spam folder up , did not work.
i liked the fact I could see the number of emails in spam. so I could check.

Visibility of spam messages
It would be better to know that there are new spam messages to review rather than just thinking "I haven't had any spam recently" (as the occasional valid email does sometimes sneak in there).
It does seem faster to delete the spam though.

I didn't even realize I could hover over the spam and trash folders til I read the comments here. This is ridiculous. Just put the numbers there like they used to be. Why wouldn't you want users to check their spam folders and to delete their trash? By not having the numbers appear as they used to, we will forget to do this housekeeping. Also, what is the point of showing 999+ for the inbox? Just show the real numbers.
