Please indicate if there are emails in spam! I almost missed paying a bill on time because it was in spam and I did not notice it!

How hard can it be to just put the darn counter back on the spam folder just like the inbox and drafts folder and just like the spam folder used to have? What is the logic for hiding this from us? Of all the yahoos railing on because they don't like change, this is actually a concrete thing you can do something about. So why not?

What kind of coke-snorting, ***-scratching ******* idiot came up with this stupid-*** idea anyway? Was this the product of some overstuffed Verizon exec's nephew/boyfriend who was too ******* stupid to land a job anywhere on his own? Did this same stupid-*******-*** complete his job interview on his knees?

So today one daily newsletter to which I subscribe, and one message from a hobby group I belong to, were both hidden away in "Spam" which of course no longer notifies when new entries are deposited. I just happened to hover over the folder to find them; I never would have known about them otherwise. Keep on trying as hard as you can to be even shittier than Outlook.

Your newest version of Yahoo! Mail Basic does not have a counter to let the user know if spam mail has been automatically filtered into their spam folder...this feature was present in the previous iteration.

I fully agree with this request!
The Classic view always highlighted folders in the left-hand folder list which contained unread messages, and also showed a count. There have been many user requests for this to be reinstated, so WHY has it not been done already?
Sometimes legitimate e-mails are incorrectly sent to the Spam folder (or are moved to another folder or Trash either by filters or inadvertently). It should NOT be necessary to hover the mouse over each folder or open each one to check for unread messages.
So PLEASE modify the folder list to make it clear which folders contain unread messages, in particular the Spam and Trash folders. Removing this functionality that was present in the Classic view is a COMPLETELY BACKWARDS STEP IN USABILITY!
I have more than 3 decades of experience in the IT industry, and the removal of the unread message indications is a prime example of ill-considered poor design, without any consideration of the user experience!

Spam mailbox does not indicate any more when it contains messages. As legit messages regularly land into the spam folder, I need to know when there are new messages in there. The old interface indicated this, but the new one doesn't. Perhaps you can do away with unnecessary bells and whistles (themes? really?) and bring this useful feature back. Thanks.

I have the same issue concerning my SPAM FOLDER. So i'm reading all of these comments, why hasn't yahoo fixed this yet??

Two problems. 1) There is no indication of anything in the Spam folder. This is a major issue. I just accidentally checked the folder and it contained three emails that were not spam, and that I needed to reply to. Dreadful problem
2) When I click 'reply' the email address comes up in a pop up, right where I am trying to type, so I can't see what I am writing without moving the cursor. Small, but very irritating -

It would be nice to show how many emails are in spam like you used to so I can manage these better. Thank you.

The current/old version has a number next to the word folders that shows how many new/unopen/unread messages you have. This is particularly useful if you use filters to sort emails as they come in. The new version does not have this feature yet.

The Spam button on the new HORRIBLE Yahoo mail shows nothing. So why would I visit it?
When I visited it today, I see hundreds of spam (More, much more than ususal), and this is too much to examine closely.
Add the Spam counter to the Spam button so we can see and edit/delete the spam.
Most people can't deal with hundreds of spam. You don't deal with it other than tagging emails. (that might NOT BE Spam) -

In the previous version, the Yahoo tab on the browser also used to show unread email count. It doesn't in the new look. That is very useful feature and is causing me a lot of frustration.
I can understand you want to keep advancing but why do you need to retire on existing working useful and important features of Yahoo mail?

Why is this so hard? If you are too obtuse to see the necessity, at least make it an option.

i just opened the blank spam box and find over a hundred spams there.
This is far more than the usual, so your spam filter is not blocking a lot of spam in the first place.
I can see about 1000 spam in a week. How can other people deal with it and see if anything is not spam?
Select All -- Delete is not a good solution.
Tell us what is inside each folder every time. Post the number of entries. And please stop being so rigid in design that when I adjust the "size" of the Yahoo screen, the SIGN OUT goes over to the hidden right side.

Would it be asking too much to have some indication that we have messages in Trash and Spam? Every time you change this you ***** it up! Can't you do anything right???????

It would be nice to see the spam mails or other mails which goes sometimes into the spam folder to be highlighted. Thank you.

Don't need so many indicators of number of messages in any folder, but I've always DEPENDED on being able to see (without opening the folder) that there were new messages in my Spam folder -- now I can't.
And knock it off with the damned pop-ups! I've had the same e-mail address for 20 years, but I'm about to switch because I JUST CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS AWFUL NEW MAIL! -

Opening up New Yahoo Mail, the Spam trash can is blank, but when I open it, it has a week's worth of ****-mail.
if you are goinb to label things Spam then tell us that you have.
Old Yahoo told us there was spam. -
