searching
I am moving away from Yahoo slowly due to the lack of robustness from the search results. I am copying and pasting exact email addresses that I am looking for FROM AN EMAIL IN MY INBOX and it won't show up. Also need to be able to search across ALL mailboxes. Like if I accidentally deleted an email (always).....searching should find it. This account was my very first email address, and therefore has sentimental value. There is also tons of history in this account but I CANNOT ACCESS IT because the search feature is useless, which means this account is becoming useless as well.
You can find additional search support here: https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Features-and-settings/bd-p/features-settings
Thank you!

Search doesn't filter any more.
When I enter the filter works, then quickly disappears and shows me everything in the folder I"m looking for before I can click on the email I wanted. Quit "making things better". I would love to purchase an email account that doesn't have ads. I don't mind paying for something that WORKS! But everyone of you email companies keep "improving" only to make us do the work for you in finding the errors afterwards. I can't pay for something that doesn't work well and keeps trying to compete with gmail (that I really dislike). -

Search doesn't work properly. When I searched for an email ID to look for emails received from it there is nothing in the results but then there is a box on the right which says I received an email from that ID on a certain date. So why isn't the email in the results? There is no way to access it.

I can't search for old emails. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. The reason I save old emails is to be able to access them at the later date. And now I CAN'T. This is such an amateur hour. Is anyone even reading this?

The Search feature still isn't working. When I search for messages from a particular sender, the results appear for a few seconds; then a big list with messages from various senders replaces it. This is pretty basic functionality, so I hope you can get to it soon! Thanks!

When doing the advance searching with specified folder & subject, the result only appears half second, then disappear and then display entire folder.
Thanks.

Firefox (version 48.0.2). Steps to repeat: Enter search query then select the down arrow to fine tune the search and select a folder from the drop-down. The search results very briefly displays the correct email, then shows many unrelated emails that do not match the search criteria.
Moreover, prior to the launch of this new version, if I were in a folder and hit search, I could search specifically within that folder. It was incredibly convenient as it limited the steps. This feature went away several months (if not years) ago, and it's been a PITA since, especially since now the search doesn't even work.

UI concepts are great and that is the only reason I am using Yahoo Mail! But, performance wise SUCKS! To add to that, now since couple of weeks whenever I am in a urgency to look at some important email I get "We will be right back... bla... bla.." message.
The first and foremost is to improve your performance, please. I have pro paid version but if I think of your performance I give you no more than 1 rating. However, UI I give you 9 out 10! I also like the way I can see all of my emails from various sources and manage them from yahoo without having to login to so many places. KUDOS for that and great work!
My suggestions would be, if possible to have one folder where I and keep all the emails from different providers. For example, say I have AT&T services which has DirecTV, Internet, Mobile etc. and I use gmail for DirecTV, Yahoo for Mobile and Hotmail for Internet, when I need to organize all these emails I should be able to put all those emails under one parent folder with sub-folders, so that I could easily track them when I need them.
Also, SEARCH is kind of not working for most of the time! However, search on the item to sort all of those email is a great concept except that sometime it doesn't work but you're on the right track!

As example, I have an invoice called X12345. This is mentioned in the subject line. When I search for the number 12345 the invoice does not appear (no results). When In search for X12345 the invoice does appear.
I tried *12345 but this does not give a positive result. So it is hard to search specifically for numbers when you are not aware of a possible letter in front.

The Search doesn't find the most recent emails, those within the past 2-3 days. Please, make it display them. I get a lot of emails and it would help if the Search found all the emails from a given sender, on a given subject, etc.

Starting today, January 26th, when I do a search it flashes what I am searching for and goes straight to all of my email as if I've never searched. In order to get my search to work, I then have to refresh the page which is rather annoying. Also, It would be nice if when I am moving things to a folder, it would stay at that folder on my next move instead of going to the top of my folders each time.

The search function does not accurately sort emails by correct month, day or year! It is the only reason I need to go back to the "old" yahoo. The new function says that an email was received in August 2017, when it was sent/received in January 2018. It makes searching within my folders incredibly cumbersome. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS!

When I search for an email and the results are displayed as a list of previews on the left, nothing opens up on the right pane when I click on the emails. This started happening recently, running latest Chrome on OSX.

When using the search bar, the items I searched will not open when I click them after searching. This is consistent on each computer I try to do this from. This is NOT ideal by any means as I have thousands of emails. I can't just go manually searching...
