I am moving away from Yahoo slowly due to the lack of robustness from the search results. I am copying and pasting exact email addresses that I am looking for FROM AN EMAIL IN MY INBOX and it won't show up. Also need to be able to search across ALL mailboxes. Like if I accidentally deleted an email (always).....searching should find it. This account was my very first email address, and therefore has sentimental value. There is also tons of history in this account but I CANNOT ACCESS IT because the search feature is useless, which means this account is becoming useless as well.
You can find additional search support here: https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Features-and-settings/bd-p/features-settings

Search by folder and key word produces right responses for a couple seconds, then they disappear and are replaced by some other results that don't correspond to the key word

Improve the search A LOT. Allow me to sort by name (all emails) or subject (all emails) and sort by date. It's a crapshoot right now.

I am an ex-employee of Yahoo.
New version of Mail box is good and takes less time to load the mails. Search mails needs to improve. Like, folder search mails should have.
If a user wants search any mails from his folder, it should search in that folder only.

Why don't you have the search e-mail OR web option like you use to.

SEARCH used to work great, now it seems intermittent, but mostly doesn't work correctly.
One of the most broken issues is when I sort by a sender and get a subset of data, then try to narrow that down by a specific folder, like Inbox for example - I get all messages in the inbox, even though the original search term is in the box... very frustrating... I'm looking for specific emails for a reason...
Thank you for your consideration in fixing this issue.

Hey just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the search all emails from the sender. It makes cleaning out my trash. Thanks, keep it up!
It used to be so easy when I was searching for an email. I would be able to chose to search the web as well. For example I was searching for Kroger grocery store. If I had deleted an email I could hit the search the web button and go to the companies web site now I have to get out of yahoo mail and look up the website. WAS YOUR STAFF DRUNK WHEN YOU MADE ALL THESE STUPID CHANGES?

I tried to filter to delete specific e-mails or to move them to specific folder but it just returns me to my Inbox? This is so annoying and a waste of time.
There are few issues I am facing wirh Yahoo mail.
1) When I paste some text in the mail, it always get pasted as line one. I can not paste text in the middle or end of an exsting email text.
2) While typing email address or typing a word in 'search' box, looks like some 'smart' text predictor takses over and does not allow me to type the string I want to type.

I think it would be good to have the search option available for the sent messages as well (not only for the inbox)

I cannot search in a specific directory only - I want to be able to choose to search in entire mail or inbox only to help filing ( would speed things up too)

The Old Classic worked better but even then when I searched and selected in box only it would change back to all mail the next time I used search. Why can't the new system have the same function with the improvement of holding the last used search option "in-box" until I decide to change it. Right now the search shows ALL mail with no filtering so whn I select all box it includes the files I have already saved to different locations ...SUCKS!

The search function seldom works, or it will display that an email took place on the right side of screen, but doesnot allow access to message.

When I search for misplaced emails I don't want to have to do a half dozen different searches across different folders, e.g. "topic", then "topic in:trash", then "topic in:spam", etc. At least give me a checkbox if you don't want to make that default.
