Thee block Sender selection in the '...' menu item SUCKS. It does not block anything!!! I have tried to block hundreds of senders using this function and IT DOES NOTHING!!! And now when I look at the blocked addresses, there are NONE where there used to be many. If you are not interested in helping your subscribers in preventing spam mail, just take that function out.

I'm not sure why, but I am getting a ridiculous amount of spam and other **** I didn't subscribe to. When I try and block and delete the items, it does neither of these things. Considering shutting down yahoo mail completely. This is ridiculous

I have been frustrated with Yahoo! spam filter already. So, to give it another chance, I started blocking the addresses manually. The old school Ctrl + C and Ctrl + V way.
Till date (I am not proud to say) I added 30 addresses in this Blocked Address list.
I have been doing this since 3 weeks now. Today, I used the functionality which is present in the More button when you are viewing an email.
I clicked block senders option. All my effort of 3 weeks is gone! The 30 addresses are replaced with the recent one.
This is more than frustrating and needless to say another blunder from Yahoo! Requesting as many votes as possible!

My yahoo is blocking a forwarded email with a wetransfer link in it, because "This link will take you to a third-party site", but if you copy the exact same link in a new email it goes trough without problems.
This is a big inconvenience and seems to be an algorithm issue since the same so called "third- party link" works fine in a new mail but is blocked in a forwarded email. I did the test myself.
Something is wrong, please correct it.
I don't need an answer. Just send this to the appropriate department and get is solved -

I try the "block sender" feature with messages in my spam folder. That doesn't appear to work at all. The messages reappear later...along with more messages.

How about you actually make the Block Senders feature work? I followed the instructions to block spammers and nothing happens.
Thanks, -

I don't think your idea of improving the YAHOO mail has worked. Most of the functions in the old format are missing and the ones that are in the new format don't work properly. I get lots of offensive spam emails everyday am find myself blocking them every day. It would help if the blocked address list blocked the emails permanently and not just for one day. I refuse to type each email into the blocked list as this is time consuming and I now have to open the emails to be able to copy the email address. Get it right YAHOO or I'm gone - Gmail is looking so much better!!

How would one go back and look at the list of blocked emails and unblock one if need be?

Agreed!!! Blocks and filters are a joke on Yahoo. I am just about ready to switch email accounts because of it.

Since your spam filters clearly don't work, can you at least TRY to block addresses that I mark as blocked?

I got a pop-up saying that several senders will be blocked. It gave a choice, block or “hide” with no explanation of “hide.” I dismissed the box, but now I do not get mail from these senders - some essential. I see no way to know what senders are blocked and no sway to undo this.
I will have to switch to Gmail, no choice.
