Contacts should stay on the main mail page.
It's mail. I shouldn't have to open up a new browser tab.

As with all changes that require a different mindset it just a matter of adjustment. It took time to remember where the button is but it's no big deal. What is bothersome is that it is so slow bringing up my contacts. With the old format to click and my contacts appeared.

Where are the contacts for my e-mail?

Everytime they update and improve the email it gets worse. It is harder to attach and open attachments. When you "download" them, they go somewhere that you have to look for. How the heck do you edit contacts? What the **** is "coupons"?
If it ain't broke, don't break it! -

Should not have to go back to old mail to deal with contacts and lists.

When I delete my trash and spam, they come back the next day. I then get 3 days of already deleted mail. I really would like it to stay deleted. I would also like my contacts where I can see them

i see no way to return to the classic email GUI. But you can switch to the basic display/functionality using the Setting icon. Once you have done this, you will see a contacts/people icon on the upper left under the Yahoo logo. Click on this icon and you will see your contact list sans distribution lists. Click on the name of a person who you know is listed in a distribution list you want to modify. You will see the name of the person appear in the window to the right including the name(s) of the distribution lists the person is listed in. Click on the name of the distribution list you want to modify and it will pop up where the name of the person was displayed. You can now modify the distribution list the way you used to. WARNING: once you've clicked on the settings icon, seen the list of settings options and clicked on the basic mode, DO NOT SWITCH BACK TO THE NEW AND IMPROVED MODE. I know of no way to get back to the same settings options you saw when you selected the basic mode. So you can only do this once. Now a couple of comments on the Yahoo email website. As a retired software.systems engineer, I've got to say that for a company the size of Yahoo, this is the most amateurishly maintained website I have ever seen. And their refusal to respond to all the comments complaining about the new GUI is nothing short of a slap in the face to all Yahoo email users. I'm new to Yahoo. I hadn't used it in decades. I was forced to switch from my ISP-based Outlook email when the ISP decided to limit my emails. After spending an entire day setting up Yahoo, it looks like I'll be looking for another solution.

Keep the tab on the right minimized when I minimize it! Very annoying when trying to read an email that keeps resizing because the stupid tab/bar keeps opening!
