Same issues as others' comments. I hate your new format. Slow file upload, whenever I drag photos in my email it doesn't upload as file.

Performance is slow. Filter settings is terrible. I'd like to be able to filter by person, subject, or by related emails.

i've been a loyal yahoo customer since...lol practically the beginning of the internet. :) last few years i've become increasingly frustrated and uncomfortable. today was the third time my yahoo tab was hijacked by another website, big red page background, loudly shouting INTERNET SECURITY ALERT, and warning me not to close the tab or shut down my computer or bad things will happen. i was able to just close the tab, but that is alarming. this doesn't happen on any other site, so i have to think it's yahoo specific, perhaps something sneaky in one of the ads you allow. in addition, many of the ads running involve sound or video that is very intrusive (particularly if i'm at work) and seem to make use of yahoo mail a paiiiinnnnfully slow experience. i hate to walk away from such a long relationship, but i'm ready to give up

I thought it was only fair to give the new email format a second try a month after I had switched back to Classic.
You would have thought that with all of the negative feedback on here Yahoo would have taken immediate corrective actions but the same issues I had the first time I tried it are still evident....access is problematic, tool is very slow and hangs-up a lot.
I worked in the computer industry for 25 years. You don't roll out new software without running a beta test in parallel with the old tool and resolving the inevitable bugs.
It looks like Yahoo decided to do their beta testing with all of their frequent users!
I have Gmail for my business and seriously thinking about switching for my personal email as well. I've had this Yahoo account since May 1999 and it will be a major upheaval to switch to Gmail but I may be forced to if Yahoo pull the plug on Classic.

You've got a number of problems with your email service which you might want to address. We've actually switched our personal and business accounts to other services, but unfortunately still have to check Yahoo Mail occasionally for those using our old addresses. The three main problems I would recommend you fix as are as follows:
1. Our inbox updates at different intervals depending upon the brower/app used. For example the newest Google Chrome and even the iPhone app are hours behind an old version of Internet Explorer. In other words, if I open Yahoo Mail in IE 9 right now, it would show an email someone sent me a minute or two ago - but it's taking hours to show up in Google Chrome or the iPhone app! This only started happening within the last few days.
2. Apparently you're not making enough as is and have to monetize with ads to pull in a few more nickels. However, these load so slow it often causes the page to crash, leading the user to close out and forget about checking his Yahoo Mail for the remainder of the day. Thus having 1/3 of the page taken up by ads seems kind of counterproductive.
3. I keep getting constant emails about updating to the new version. However you can click on these forever and nothing changes. This is true in the iPhone app, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, you name it. Actually when just opening my Yahoo Reader, it gives me an error message about the email function being outdated (there's some kind of pink box that floats over the page wherever you scroll, saying "Doh! Something Went Wrong!") because Yahoo Reader of course shows the most recent 5 emails (theoretically, that is). But I'm not aware of being prompted to update my Yahoo Reader to a new version ever.
Anyway, just thought I'd pass this along! I actually doubt we will be returning to Yahoo Mail as our primary provider anytime soon, but you never know. Thanks!

Make the 'conversation' format simpler, so replying and scrolling through messages is intutitive. It's slow and frustrating compared to other email formats

The new e-mail settings make it slower to open emails, and I can no longer accept meeting invites from my work e-mail like I used to. Very annoying. Change is supposed to improve the service, not make it worse.

It's still blinking every time I put my cursor over the list of e-mails or over the list the find an e-mail. This new Yahoo is awful! ! ! Can we have our old Yahoo back! ! !PLEASE! ! ! Or make this one like the old one. Don't understand why you have to mess w/ something that's working and make it into something that DOESN'T WORK! ! Do something! Anything! to get it working again I have misses so many e-mails because of this new system I can't even ever get caught up now. PLEASE FIX IT AND FIX IT SOON! ! ! ! There are sooo many problems I couldn't begin to list them all but the blinking thing is the worst because I get migraines and that's one thing that gives them to me, blinking things. So that REALLY bothers me. Besides the fact it slows everything down to a crawl. I'm about fed up w/ Yahoo! ! !

I check my mail every few minutes.
Every time I get the ads and I tell you they aren't relevant.
I get the same handful of ads all freaking day/evening and I tell you dozens and dozens of times they aren't relevant - and they re-appear just *5* seconds later!!! what is the point??
After a month and being told hundreds and hundreds of times, I tell you they are offensive - and they still keep coming!!!!!!!!As for your "lightning fast" claim... it's BS to the core.
I'm running a 4.5GHz gaming rig on a solid wired Ethernet cable and Yahoo takes forever; it's a joke!
I had a 1-line email that says "Sorry, I'm with family".
Have you SEEN the amount of code that comes wrapped around that *ONE* line of email?? It's overkill and S-L-O-W!!I'm not paying you to cut the cr@p - I'd sooner use a different mail client.
It used to be good. Now it's rubbish - and slow rubbish at that.
No wonder people are leaving in droves..GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER YAHOO!!!
