THEMES
These new themes are not attractive!!! There should be theme that are stimulating and inspirational. Themes like nature, geography, landscape, astronomy and other subjects.

Get rid of awful THEMES... we are well past the 60s & 70s colour schemes!

My biggest complaint is the white background for the emails listings. I find it very glaring and unpleasant, as well as making it difficult to scan through them. Please give an option that has a soft email listing background such as beige or dark cream, or any pale softened color.
I also dislike ALL of your background theme options. For me, they are all too bright, too bold, too busy. I want to see something with soft muted colors like I had before.
Like so many others, I was so happy with the old setup. Please stop trying to "reinvent the wheel" when it works great. -

Yahoomail classic offers many more themes to choose from, the upgrade only has 11 themes? Am I missing something? Please create more themes!

Over one year old and still no results.
This proves Yahoo has ZERO clue about visual design- anyone remember the train-wreck disaster that was "Yahoo Music Jukebox"?

The new mail is awfully bright compared to classic.
I am happy that there's a dark theme but the problem is that its incredibly difficult to tell the difference between read vs unread mail.
(Generally when you click on an email to read it, it becomes grayed out to show you've already seen the email)

Please let us have an ivory inbox option instead of bright white which causes glare headaches. Or, offer a very pale shade of the theme color with black text instead of dark color with white text. Who can read that? Options, please. Admin seems to be confusing inbox complaints with the side bar and overhead bar "theme" options (which are totally unattractive to me, but at least don't interfere with my reading the inbox list.

black and white, no crazy gay pastel colors. Put adds on there relevant to me, not some stupid womens clothing, underwear and shoes. Stop the constant flashing and flipping adds, that is annoying!

bring back the old options for themes or let us use our own picture for
a background. your current themes look like an untalented 5 year old
with a box of crayons designed them. -

Please change the theme options! The dark is too dark and the medium is too bright. It would be a little bit better if the emails we select while using the medium setting would change to a different color. Why is this so difficult? I am beginning to hate yahoo so much because I can't read my emails without getting annoyed with the color.
Somehow you've managed to change the shading when we select emails using the dark setting but you can't do it with the medium setting.

Like literally 4 themes to choose from? Really? Extremely disappointing. Why can't I just personalize it the way I want to?

Color combos are too weak in lighted conditions and hard to see. The dark "negative" contrast version is annoying so please give us the old layout back as it was great for readability.

Themes and background look like they are from 20 years ago when we just started to use the email. Really bad. Even if we change the theme, the inbox is still so bright that is not appealing. I will probably stop using yahoo. mail.

Bring back the old backgrounds. This "update" "new" system looks old fashioned with bland themes. Bring back the themed backgrounds.

More themes and pictures with better interest. Nature, rock n roll, jazzy, sporty, festive, cultural, etc.

Some new themes would be nice, the ones at present are dull & boring.

How about make it so I can drop in my own background. Gmail has that option.
