Ad blocker is for my protection, not to deny you ad revenue
Until third-party ads stop being a significant source of malware, using an ad blocker is a smart, even necessary, protective measure. When you can assure me that it's not possible for a malicious ad to make its way into my browser via Yahoo or any ad network is uses, I'll be happy to add Yahoo to my whitelist.

I was forced to use an ad blocker because flashing, swirling ads triggered my migraines. From the look of them they could also have been a problem for people with epilepsy.

I'll never disable adblock, not for ANY website. ********, and **** your ad revenue. The more I have to see your stupid ads, the less likely I am to buy your products out of spite.

I'm NOT going to whitelist the page for my adblocker. My bandwidth is mine, not advertisers. Furthermore I'm not putting my computer at risk because you want to spam the **** out of me with ads loaded with malware. It's not worth screwing up my computer because you want to sell more adspace.
Even more impressive is that even on THIS page, it's currently blocking EIGHT ads. It makes it pretty clear just how much your ads invade the personal space of users.

Ad blocker is for ME, and Not the corporations of America! My bandwidth is MINE! I will continue to use ad blocker. And by the way, I'll never pay to use an ad blocker.

Pay? Not to use an ad-blocker? I pay for my bandwidth. My bandwidth is mine! I can refuse any content i want to using whatever tools are at my disposal.

I use an ad blocker because every time the ad refreshes in Yahoo mail, I lose my cursor. If I'm typing an email, the cursor will completely disappear from the screen and I have to find where I was typing and click there again to continue. This happens approximately every 30 seconds or whenever the next ad loads...and then I have to go through it all over again. I left feedback about the issue, but it was never resolved. Yahoo was the original reason I installed an ad blocker...not even originally because of the ads themselves, but yes, I agree with another commenter that the blinking/flashing 'seizure inducing' ads are too much.

Yahoo was the main reason I looked for an AdBlocker. And Yahoo is the main reason I switch from Microsoft Explorer to Chrome. I got tired of some car ad floating across my screen. Or some product flashing flashing flashing, swirling, swirling, swirling, pop, pop pop, etc.
I doubt it was cool looking the first time.
Explorer didn't allow plug-ins, Chrome did. I was painless and have never looked back.
Thanks Yahoo. -

I feel more secure with the ad blocker than whitelisting by Yahoo. I wish you would stop suggesting that I use yahoo whitelist.

Last time I accessed Yahoo! without my ad blocker, I immediately got a pop-up malware attack.
My main reason for using the blocker was that the ads on Yahoo! Answers used so much bandwidth that I couldn't answer questions without a blocker. I am willing to test periodically whether you've reined them in to reasonable levels, but a malware attack is a definite show-stopper for me.

For example, I would turn off ad blocker if I were assured of not seeing disgusting skin conditions or frenetic, repeating videos. I don't mind reasonable ads at all. I think you need to hear from a diverse group of users, thus my idea.

Yahoo users! Don't give them any good ideas! That only guarantees they will never be used! Best to switch to another email server. Dump Yahoo!

The only reason I use U-Block is because in January of this year, I discovered that only when using Yahoo.com, did I receive a disruptive audio and screen interruption locking up my screen and telling me to call a toll-free number for assistance. It took me a while to figure out this disruption was harmless to my computer, but I had to find a way to stop it. There should be some way Yahoo can stop this from happening so that people don't have to use Ad-blockers.

I also use an ad blocker for my protection, and do not plan to disable it.
Plus, when I have allowed ads when using Yahoo Mail the past, they have made it impossible to use Mail. The ads would load and re-load, interrupting my keystrokes when I was typing emails, and hanging up the page making it unresponsive. Sometimes they would contain video with audio, disrupting my browsing experience. The only way the site/app would function properly and usefully was by me disabling ads on Yahoo mail.
If the ads your site allows were well behaved, non-obtrusive and in an acceptable format, I would consider disabling the ad-blocker. Until then it is staying.

All ads should conform to the acceptable ads standard...posted here for your convenience: https://adblockplus.org/acceptable-ads
As long as yours does NOT conform to this standard, in full, I WILL block your ads. In case you don't understand, the use of ad blocking softwares is a consumer revolt against abusive practices prevalent in the industry, brought on by 3rd party ad companies. The fact is YOU are responsible for the companies you work with. YOU helped bring this situation about.

I too use Ad Blocker and do not receive any advertising on my e-mail account, or any other site. Love it!. The cost is only a donation of any size you wish to make $1, $5, etc. When necessary, on rare occasions you can pause Ad Blocker for a site. You will be amazed at how many ads are blocked in one day.

Just stop it. As it is now with all the notifications, I can't use your mail client any longer. I WONT turn off my addblocker, as you spam me with adds.
It is no longer a mail service provider, but an intrusive spam delivery system.

The reason we use ad blocker is because we were constantly waiting for (sometimes 15 seconds or more) yahoo comet. Personally I want Yahoo to make money and don't mind the adds but I don't have time for yahoo comet. Also don't like videos playing and blaring at us especially if we are in and office. I'll click "play" when I want to.
