less ads
We should have the option to remove ads without having to pay for anything or download any software to keep them off our screen
Yahoo offers Mail Pro which provides an ad-free experience. You can find out more here:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail/sln15803.html
Keep in mind that this doesn’t remove ads in emails or Spam. If you still feel that ads are slowing your mailbox, please see this help page for troubleshooting:

URGENT why do you think more of ads than getting yahoo email search to work after windows 10 update? won't work in chrome, ie or edge. now going to try opera but guess it won't work in that either.

I use Mypoints.com to search. I get points for searching via their site. Plus they have features to introduce new items of interest that are closer to what I like, all in one place where I can view as many ads as I like on any subject I like. I prefer Google as my default (voice active).

This is EXTORTION. Yahoo is flooding my email account with VERY annoying advertisement. Something about Sharktank with a picture of a sick man who looks like an ice addict or alcoholic. I cannot remove this ad or get alternative ads, only this awful one. Yahoo is forcing me to buy a Pro account. Not sure that is ethical or legal.

Every time I log into Yahoo mail, I get a pop-up ad asking me to pay for what I already had before the new format. And every time I get that pop-up ad, I wish I hadn't used my Yahoo email address for just about every online login so that I could close this account and never use Yahoo again. The new format and all its pop-up are why I effectively use this email account as my global spam folder.
But every once in a while, I lose a password and need my Yahoo email to reset it. Were it not for that necessity, I'd happily see Yahoo go the way of AOL.

I don't mind the ads as much as the tracking that accompanies the ads. I feel the ads are used to spy on my habits and thoughts, and I want to retain the option to be free from spying without being harassed about my ad blocker.

Pay to stop the adds?
Look Yahoo! your greed is showing. I cannot think of an e-mail service that makes you pay to stop pop ups.... is my email, WHY DO YOU HAVE ADS ON THE EMAIL PAGE??? It makes no sense whatsoever.... this why people leave for, icloud.com, outlook.com and/or gmail.com
I'm about to start transitioning to gmail, because this is by far the most ridiculous thing Ive seen lately.... How about you just drop the money mining from the emails??? Lord knows you get a **** ton of money from Tumblr.... -

Get rid of obscene ads. I am OK with ads, but showing scantily clad girls in the side bar is really unacceptable.

malware and offensive ads
In all my years of using Yahoo I've never had problems but now shortly after I start reading an email, my screen is taken over by an urgent update message to download something and I lose Yahoo mail. From searches, this is apparently coming from one of the ads that you sell. Your new program should not only try to block attacks but also STOP selling ad space to companies that are trying to attack your system.

The ads in my mailbox are causing long load times. I purposely do not visit my Yahoo mail because it is more difficult to navigate than other websites. If the ads, or even just the animated ads, were removed, I wouldn't have these issues.

Ads suck. Why would I allow them? Or, pay you to only show me the ones you deem i should see.
I refuse to give you my dollars when I control the content being brought into my computer

Your instructions tell me to click on a particular Ad Block symbol but it is not located where you state it is. Let me know when you re-do your instructions. Good thing I only use Yahoo mail for junk mail -- no real loss.
