Many emails that are clearly not spam are being put into the spam folder

I have to constantly (i.e. every two weeks) go into the SPAM folder and select all the emails that aren't spam, flag them as Not Spam and have them moved to the Inbox. It's annoying to have to continue to flag the same emails every time. Why isn't the system making a record of which emails aren't spam and then sending them directly to the inbox next time? very annoying.

I know Google is sabotaging Yahoo email to force people to migrate over to Gmail. You've disabled searching the spam folder to waste people's time and make them hate Yahoo. Shame on you! I hate Google even more now! I will find a way to create or join a Class Action Anti-Trust Lawsuit against Google for this.

Clearly Yahoo has attempted to reduce the amount of Spam we receive in our inboxes, but this has resulted in many legitimate emails ending up in Spam--their filter goes too far. Moreover, I receive Spam from 3-4 Pfishing sites almost daily, and they never end up in my Spam folder. If I can tell they are Spam by hovering over the sender's address, then Yahoo should be able to find a fix, at least for the legitimate emails that end up in the Spam folder. Please fix this problem. Thank you.

Emails from one of my main contacts that are in MY YAHOO ADDRESS BOOK are being filtered to the SPAM folder.
It even happens when they respond to a message I sent out to multiple people. Everyone else on the list lands in my inbox when they respond, but messages from this person's email goes into SPAM.
This is a person I correspond with regularly. So now I have to check my SPAM folder every single day to make sure I did not miss a message.
I have marked their messages NOT SPAM at least 20 times and their messages still keep going into the SPAM folder!PLEASE FIX THIS!!!!!

I, unlike some other commenters, have not had email from my family members put in the spam folder. This is probably because we use texts, not email. I'm not a fan of Verizon, but at least it's not Yahoo! :-)

I think that conservative group's email going to spam is stupidity, not bias, I get a large amount of mail for liberal causes and a lot of it goes in my spam folder. So political messages being shoved into spam is just plain STUPID - - not bias.

More than 90% of the mail you put in my spam folder is NOT spam. I now move everything from my spam folder to my 'preferred' folder before even bothering to look at it.

Email from contacts that are in MY CONTACT LIST are being filtered to the SPAM box. This should not happen but is. When is this going to be corrected?

Political bias? I have been on the whitehouse.giv email list for years. When President Obama lived there, whitehouse.gov never went to the spam folder. Ever since the election, whitehouse.gov always goes to the spam folder, no matter how many times I mark it NOT SPAM. Other conservative emails as well. Please fix your training algorithms - when I mark something NOT SPAM a half dozen times or so, I mean I do NOT consider it spam - please quite re-routing it.

You should never put an Email from an address I have previously sent an email to in Spam folder. It seems obvious it is not spam if I have corresponded with that person before.
I almost missed an important meeting because of this.

Rather than vote on each comment I’ll just add my own. For the last several months more and more spam is getting through to my inbox vs being routed to my spam folder. I’m also finding emails from people in my contacts list in my spam folder. What is the problem?

I have emails showing up in my SPAM folder that are ONLY from what would be classified as politically conservative. Including one from a conservative National Senator's office.
IF you do not stop such, sometime within the next 2 months I will notify the Senator's office as to Yahoo's deliberate censorship of politically protected free speech.
I would do the same it it could be classified as being liberal political speech.
We have enough problem with free speech censorship as it is. Don't need Yahoo contributing.

Completely agree. If Yahoo didn't move so many non-SPAM e-mails to this folder it wouldn't be such a big issue. Should be a simple fix if their developers have any intelligence at all.

Currently, you can search through all folders but spam. 1 in 10 of my Paypal emails go into spam and I need to scroll through tons of spam and cannot search to find them.

Recently some of my contacts are going to spam. I don't know why as they have been on my list forever. Why is this happening? It's irritating!

I have just been alerted to unwanted diversion of mail to SPAM folder. Mail from organisations and businesses that I may want to read is going to SPAM! I do not want any mail put in SPAM folder unless it is authorised by me having put email from that sender into SPAM or it is an obvious SPAM e.g. money schemes, viagra ads etc. This is a serious issue and could result in me having to change emails.
