Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

I am tired of getting the same spam mail every day. I mark it as spam, but it still comes back every day for months. Why can't you get rid of this spam mail.

Update algorithm- a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, (can be useful in catching email spam)

All SPAM emails used to be Blocked.
I am now seeing A LOT of Inappropriate Spam emails come through.
Every time I moved them to the Spam Folder, I get an ad telling me I can pay $$ monthly, so the Spam emails can be blocked. Not is not nice, at all. If the Spam were "family friendly", I would not mind removing them. However, they are not "family friendly", they are inappropriately gross- I do not care to see them. Please stop with invading my email folder with all of this rubbish. Thank you! -

On the app, I get emails that look like emails from PayPal even though their emails are something like: "service@paypaI.com <0ngebdmsjbcidgv-h9exkl5iyzyftqea@emaildl.att-mail.com>". From the website you can easily tell it is not PayPal since you can see full email, but from app that same email address above is shown as "service@paypal.com" with no easy way to actually see the actual email. This is very dangerous for people aren't tech savvy.

The same spammers keep sending me the same spam every day and everyday they use a different email address. So if I block them today, they will use another email address tomorrow. Blocking their email address yesterday does nothing to stop them today. Please provide the ability to block all emails from specific countries. Having the ability to do this would stop a lot of spam. I want to block emails from every country but the USA.

I am sick and tired of all the spam e-mail I am getting about McAfee. I block one and get three more with different e-mail addresses. Is there a way you can do a global block of e-mail that are scammers posing as McAfee. I can not believe anyone still uses that s**t software or the resource hog Norton.

Yahoo's built in spam filtering is horrible and needs to be improved.
We get many emails (fakes) regarding McAfee Antivirus Expired renewal notices (which are not from McAfee) and are attempts at phishing to get bank or credit card information. Same with many emails purporting to be from Paypal about alleged charges or so called limited account access (again spam trying to get bank or credit card information) Never open any attachments or click on links in these emails or you will likely get a virus or your bank / credit card info stolen. But Yahoo's filtering should be improved so these emails do not come through. -

Allow me to only access the account from a server within 500 miles of my home. Let me block servers that are international. I get emails that the account is being accessed from China, Brazil and other international areas. allow me to permanently block that access. My account just got hacked from an international server. Everyday, they are trying to access the account. I will never travel internationally, I can not afford it, also if I do, I am not checking email.

Hovering over an email sender before opening it brings up who sent the email IE McAfee but realy newgroup.clickbait.popup.scammer@etcetc this is a good feature. I can block the sender. HOWEVER if i hover over something and that doesn't happen.... its smap, virus, clickbait etc etc etc I'm not intrested and it shouldn't have been allowed into my mail box even if it was sent to spam. Not only that but such an email (got one today so I know) doesn't allow me to block the sender presumably without opening the mail. I'm not that daft so whats stopping this guy or anyone else from attopting this tactic? Please Yahoo, make a rule. If the recipient can't cinfirm the sender before opening the mail, don't let the mail be recieved. Good way to stop these clowns don't you think.

If an email is put into spam by you and then I delete it and this happens several times then you should block them from coming into the spam at all. Since I went to America recently I have pages of spam from US companies and I keep deleting them then you keep allowing them into spam

It must be possible to block or send directly to spam the many hundreds of emails I get purpoting to come from Paypal that I need to 'verify' my account if they come from email addresses like dgdgdgd7s7s7s7s@fff.com . But I get dozens everyday. It must be possible to sort that out, and put them directly into the spam folder. Please.

This was a comment by a Steve V. It is closed now, so I will repeat it here as he is totally right. - Despite previous posts about this, all of which seem to be closed now, I still routinely receive emails that claim to be from PayPal but are so obviously spoofed. Yahoo needs to do something about this to prevent them being delivered to inboxes. Stop hiding behind the idea that we, as the customer, should manage these email as spam. Your systems can interrogate the sender's actual address and the display address. If they are not genuinely from paypal.com, simply don't deliver them.
Your consistent lack of action in this area suggests that you are incompetent, you don't give a hoot about your customers' security, or you are in bed with the scammers. Steve V -

Naᴛurᴇ's'O̷nᒪy'CBD ... Really this type of e-mail? How badly does a misspelled incorrectly punctuated grammatically incorrect incoming e-mail need to be to be obviously SPAM? That one is only a recent example and not the worst of many that have been coming through.
