Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

I've blocked and blocked unwanted senders and their e- mails just continue. The block sender option does nothing...

Your love for jerking off is a awful hobby, I am certain of it!
I do not criticize anyone in this life, who I am to criticize human beings for their vices?
The researchers have proved that excessive practice of your hobby provokes certain sicknesses.
It’s highly unlikely that you could confesses to ur relatives ur affection for jerking off, like everyone else.
Now you must think what’s wrong with that, this doesn’t make any sense. There exists a software that can get complete control over your device
Are u confident that ur closest people are gonna forgive u for the video clip with you, but what others including your colleagues will say?
In receiving my reward I’m going to sweep off your video tape with wanking and will not send it to your relatives..txt

I got three spam emails today from the same email address. All within 2 minutes.
Two went to spam, the other got to my inbox. How does that occurs? -

Filter your messages. I do not get anywhere near as much spam emails from any other email service.
Emails from: **Are obviously spam... why are you letting them go through... to my INBOX on top of it!

BTW, you can add filters and have things moved to a specific folder.
I too get too many fake emails from 'admin@" or "info@" and the likes.
I am also getting too many emails with ****** content. Most are 'African rides' and the likes. Seriously Yahoo? You can't get this worked out??
As for things landing in spam that are legitimate, yes, that happens too. From senders who are in my address book.
I am not saying get rid of the spam folder. Just add better filters so it doesn't even hit my spam folder. Some are so obviously fake email addresses. -

In spite of unsubscribing from several spam emails (those which I didn't even subscribe in the first place), yahoo still lets them flow into the inbox. Not sure why there is even a Spam rule and folder here. It takes hours together just to sit and delete the unwanted emails everyday. This has become an activity for me and have been doing this for many years now. I guess yahoo doesn't even care about retaining users.

The Spam filters should do a Bass64 decode on the From and Subject fields. Everything sent in Base64 (i.e. emoji in the headers) is not filtered.

Do you have any idea to block all Gmail senders to my yahoo mail account ? I received too many spam emails from Gmail senders. Secondly how to delete all blocked addresses when the limit is over 1000 ? Thank you.

How about make your "block sender" option actually block senders....

Why is it that we are limited to how many email addresses we can block?? Do you like receiving emails constantly about "this guy sold his white wife to a black man for such and such and a nasty picture showing them doing unmentionables? Not sure how many addresses that site has, but I am sick of getting them. We need to have an unlimited blockage or yahoo needs to stop allowing that kind of stuff.

Currently, the "block addresses" function has disappeared from my "..." menu, and when I go into the settings, it appeared that this is limited to 1000 addresses, which customer service has confirmed. This needs to be greatly expanded, and the simple "one click" function for blocking should be restored, as well as an easy way to also click another box to add their whole domain to the block list (even if you have to confirm in another window so you don't accidentally block @gmail.com or something).
Currently, too many "good" emails get into my spam folder, so I started blocking the emails there so there was less junk I'd have to wade through...and it seemed like it was really helping, until I hit the 1000 address limit.

SPAM FILTERS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AND HAVEN'T BEEN OR A LOOOONG TIME. I subscribe to POLITICO e-newsletters and have added their email address to my 'safe senders' list yet still Yahoo send these emails to SPAM. Time after time I've marked these emails as "not spam" which moves them to the inbox (automatically) yet STILL, Yahoo spam filters continue to send SOME of my POLITICO emails to SPAM (and sometimes to my inbox - even though they come from the same email address - which makes this all the more confusing and troublesome).
Worst of all, I've seen complaint after complaint by many Yahoo/ATT email users about the poor and inconsistent performance of Yahoo's spam filtering - and worst of is that many of these complaints date back a ways - quite a ways - which tells me (and everyone else) that Yahoo and/or ATT really have no vested interest or motivation to resolve these issues.
I don't know what Yahoo's system engineers are being paid to do but they're certainly not focusing on this long-standing issue.
Like another user wrote - " I think it's time to move onto GMAIL". I think he/she is right.

Unfortunately for me, some of my regular mail is sent to Spam so I prefer to check Spam and delete what I do not need.

I am constantly getting spam coming into my inbox lately. There is no filetering happening, for the most part. Is this something Yahoo is working on? My other emails (gmail) is able to filter these much better.

This would be disastrous for me, as I get regular emails from a contact that goes straight to spam. I repeatedly click "not Spam", but has no effect. I've been getting emails from this contact for over 10 years, but this started only 8 months ago. Even Yahoo support could not resolve it, telling me something like the email header is telling Yahoo to put into spam. Well, that's not been the case for 10 years, and by clicking "Not Spam", I'm telling yahoo it's.. er not spam. Not only that, but every day there is at least one important message in spam, so I actually need to keep access to spam emails, because at least 5% of them are not spam.
