Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html
If you need additional help, you can go to help.yahoo.com
Thanks,

Regarding spam I am at the point of ADDING yahoo mail and website to MY antivirus spam list and have it blocked as when I delete and block spam messages they are still in the spam folder after I have deleted them.

I use a few different email accounts and have to think Yahoo is the worst of them all.
The other accounts I use (gmail and outlook) don't let spam through at all. When I check my yahoo spam folder, there are always at least 30 messages in there (and I check a few times a day)
Why let them even get into spam. Some are so obvious, they should be filtered and rejected right away. -

I will add yahoo to My antyi-virus spam/banned list if the issues of deleteing spam is not fixed.

Since, YAHOO, doesn't want us to block some spam ****. Why not be able to turn OFF all spam.? Yahoo since you seem to be selling our info, why not charge us .25 per year.

Why do we have to put up with **** that we can not Unsubscribe from and we keep getting many messages at the same time ? Every day, I get lot's of " Hey, want to se my p**** ?" Or " I almost chocked my wife with this." " Get bigger, harder, almost over night." It simply is not YAHOO !

I have been told, " there is nothing we can do." Yet there is something we all can do, LEAVE YAHOO. ! Admin simply don't care. All of our " Ideas to improve Yahoo mail" probably goes directly into their " trash folder. probably NEVER read.

I don't know why I even try. I like Yahoo, yet, not so much as to have to put up with more and more spam. I get stupid **** and lots of " **** " from PlayXoXo. With no " blocking " you simply can't get rid of it. It says " are you sure you want to delete this folder? " Answer, YES other wise I would not have hit the delete key.

My biggest problem with email (Yahoo, Google, government—read Microsoft) is the number of unsolicited messages that I receive. So I was excited to learn that Yahoo had introduced a one step process to unsubscribe from unwanted messages.
Then, I started bumping into problems. I learned that I could only use it with the mobile app. Then, I discovered that the function doesn’t work as expected. I select an email and opened the function only to find that the option to “unsubscribe” is grayed out and can’t be selected. When I tried to find an answer on your website, it implied that this function only works for emails originating from Yahoo servers. What’s the point of a new function with such limited applicability?
Clearly I’m not alone in my quest to clear out inbox kudzu. The number of suggestions on how to improve this function reflects a broad interest in simplifying the process. Please help us. Please post very simple instructions on how users can block unwanted solicitations. If it’s fraught with liability or economic considerations for your business, then be open about it, and post the issues.

Even your " filters don't" work. I keep getting this E-mail that says Tammy XOXO, wants to meet you tonight for " some fun." I can't Unsubscribe from it and your SUPPOSED FILTERS" don't work. YAHOO is NOT THE YAHOO I know.

I get dozens of spam from a spammer that changes their From address for each email making it hard to find real email that ends up in my Spam folder. Their addresses all include updates@.
"Window Replacement @ Renewal by Andersen"
<updates@*****l.com>
"Curious Finds - Holiday Guide" <updates@*****.com>
ZippyLoan Notification <updates@*****.com>I created a filter to send anything with updates@ in the From address to trash but it doesn't work.
Deliver to "Trash" if From contains "updates@"
Tech support claims Filters work but I suspect that they are only looking at From title in quotes and not the entire From field where updates@ is listed. It would also be nice if the Delete option was put back into Filters.
Please fix it.

I received a mail from my business yahoo address asking for a ransom on bitcoins
How can I manage to be protected? -

By ensuring that once a spammer has been blocked, they CANNOT send any more e-mails to the person that blocked them. I block most every sender whose message goes to my Spam Folder, yet I am STILL occasionally receiving spam from these senders!

In early 2020 spam filtering stopped working. The "mail options" choice is no longer available. There is no spam filtering options in Yahoo Mail.

Popcornlist out of Budapest manages to circumvent the"block emails" feature by slightly modifying their email address, i.e popcornlist.amy; popcorn list.bud, etc.You can't shake them. Can't yahoo block their server!!!

How about taking the information gleaned from mail users feedback forms (when responding to spam ad emails) and actually USING said feedback to inform what spam ad are sent to users? I have given feedback about spam emails I receive several times a day from some kind of Trump MAGA organization, literally dozens of times! But does Yahoo stop them from reaching my mailbox? No! Really thinking of changing all of my email addresses because of this.

I cannot believe that after all the complaints I see here and "reviewed and closed", phishing report is still not available. Your help pages are bogus in this regard. It would seem that phishing is not a concern for Yahoo.
