Help with my account
For the last two days I’m receiving dozens of nonsense emails. How can this be stopped? Thx
Hi there. The more often you mark these emails as Spam, the more you train your personal mail filter to recognize them as such. We recommend following these steps to manage your incoming emails: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html
You can always create filters: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-mail-for-desktop/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

Recently I'm getting a high number of spam/junk emails in my inbox, instead of my junk folder. These should be automatically send to the Junk folder. If this is a strategy to get me to sign up for Premium services it's not going to work. I'll give you one week to fix this before I move to gmail.

Your spam filters are ****. If I add a filter for the body which includes the TLD from the unsubscribe link it still doesn't block it.

Stop sending spam mail to my address from mail which is not for my email address. 50 such spam mail in 4 days and some verging on pornographic, on the headers alone!

Honestly all these spam have Norton or McAfee as the sender name shouldn't it be easy to filter that?

Today alone I got 161 spam emails... I am ready to delete my account, this is clearly a breach from Yahoo as we are all having the same experience and I am getting sick of mark as junk.

I started experiencing this issue about 2-3 weeks ago. The spam filter seemed to work pretty well prior to that. When can users expect an answer or resolution?

To Yahoo exec that decided that turning off spam filter would be a great way to coax people into Mail+ - not going to work. Instead you will make lots of people leave, and customers base is the only thing you have...

Like many others I've had my yahoo email since 1998.. it's ridiculous how much spam is getting sent to my inbox. Then when I go to mark it as Spam I'm asked to unsubscribe. The emails are not even address to my email address, why would you unsubscribe. Filter them out into the SPAM folder. Very frustrating.

I agree with everyone else. This is out of control. Marking it as spam, and also building filters isn't stopping it. I've been with Yahoo since 1998, but I don't see me tolerating this much longer. But Yahoo doesn't care.

It appears yahoo has started allowing excessive spam through the spam filter. If this is a ploy to force users to upgrade to plus, that is not a good policy. I'm not so sure upgrading to Plus would even solve this issue. I used to get 2-5 spam daily (also as many legitimate email into my spam folder) and now over the past few days its almost 100 spam not caught. I spend the time blocking spam but it just keeps getting through. It may be time to find a better option after 20+ years using Yahoo. Unfortunate.

I've had a Yahoo address since 1998 and it has been worst its ever been. My Gmail gets almost zero spam so it can't be just external factors alone. Also, I'm very diligent at marking things spam through the Yahoo Mail site so why can't your systems learn from this?

I am a 76 year old Disabled Vietnam Veteran. We live on my Social Security and my disability. The 5.00 per month to go SPAM free is simply 5.00 to much !

Once a post has been marked as spam, and is unsubscribed from, BLOCK IT FOREVER .
I am tired of getting 200-500 spam emails per day.

This is also happening to me and if Yahoo doesn't get it fixed, I will also be on the way out the door so to speak.. I have been a Yahoo email user for many many years and the SPAM lately has gotten completely out of control. I have actually been in the process of deleting SPAM or reporting it as SPAM and received 4-10 more SPAM emails in the process. It's completely out of control!!!!
Yahoo PLEASE fix this problem!! -

Your SPAM filter is not filtering much of anything. I am getting obvious spam, sometimes 2 to 4 of the same email at a time. I mark all of this as spam and (attempt to) block the senders but they just change the apparent address and start it all over again. Requiring a paid subscription to be able to block specific domains is absolute BS particularly when these domains are being marked as spam all over the place. Just get your filter to block these sites. It isn't rocket science.
