Stop forcing users to enter mobile numbers
Forcing a user to enter their mobile number for "account recovery" is not a good practice in my opinion. I don't want my phone linked to this account, or any of my accounts in general... won't be using Yahoo mail anymore.
Also, your continuous scroll Homepage is clunky - it feels heavy and dated. Good luck.
Don’t get locked out of your Yahoo account. Keep a valid mobile phone number or email address on your account in case you ever lose your password. You can add or replace up to 10 email addresses. This limit includes current emails and any that have been recently removed: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2058.html

When Yahoo asked me to secure my account with a cellphone number under Classic, it allowed me to "secure my account later." Now, there is no option to skip, and I don't have a cellphone. I never have had a cellphone. I can't receive a text with a landline. This New Mail upgrade is a downgrade in every way. Change it back, please!!

Multiple people in my household use the same computer an every time we log into our account we have to verify it. This makes me not want to use yahoo anymore! Now if it was a different device that we haven't logged into before that would be understandable but we shouldn't have to verify our account everyday using the same computer! And we shouldnt be prompted to make an account key. To many loops to go through just to check our email! And another thing, this was my only option to get some help! i have to click a category under the help section an couldnt find what i was looking for so i tried to get a live agent an once again had to sign up for something! TO MANY LOOPS!!!!!

The recovery phone number system will not recognise my number as a valid one.
I don't want to add it anyway, but whenever it asks for it I have to quit and log in again !!
This should be optional for this reason ! -

Today when I tried to log in you again asked for a "recovery" phone number, (no doubt to sell to marketers and other con artists) there was no option to decline, implying that I would be locked out of my email if I didn't knuckle under. Its not going to happen, so stop asking. If you respected my thoughts on this you would give an opt out option on this question rather than asking "do you want to give us what you want now, or should we just keep asking every time you come online until the heat death of the universe".

I haven't added a phone number in all the years you have treid to get me to do so. I'm not going to. I don't mind if you keep asking but when the page has no X-out and i have to sing out and sign back in to get to my mail I get peeved. I DON'T HAVE TIME TO KEEP TELLING YOU THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER!!

Why do I have to use my phone to sign in now? Please could I just have my old password back?

First of all, you should know that Two Factor Authentication via a phone is only vaguely secure these days, so stop using that as an excuse to pry for personal info.
Secondly, again - its personal info which I don't want you to have so you can lose it in the next data breach. I also don't want you to have it to sell to third parties.
Finally, and I realize this is a novel concept: NOT EVERYONE HAS A MOBILE PHONE.
