Ditto to Alan Rider's comment. When will this be corrected?

I held out until yesterday. Today I can't find contacts on the big screen and no visible way to assign into my groups.

The new way you have the contacts set up is very poor can't figure out how to assign contacts to a list can't show contacts in lists and it is small and hard to use stuck over the right hand side like this!!

In the past I clicked on the 'contact' icon located on the upper right. This gave me a new screen where I could add a new contact, then I was given the option to add that new contact to one of my lists. Worked perfectly!
Now I add contacts, and can not figure out how to add this new contact to one of my lists.
Surely it must be somewhere! Or not!? -

Change is not always a good thing. Go back to the way it worked prior to the update. This is just a horrible format.

WHAT IDIOT THOUGHT this Contact format works - never mind, better?
The lists are no longer in order. I created a list and added names (more difficult than the previous format where you could just drag a name on the contacts to the desired list - SIMPLE. Now I can't even FIND the list I created though I know it's there. When I compose an email to the list, it does show up, but it does NOT appear in the Lists column - which is not alphabetized. OMG what is wrong with you YAHOO idiots. OH wait, I have it figured out. There is a "HELP" button, which willl lead you to a page to PAY to get 24/7 phone assistance. They made it complicated so you will have no option but to pay to figure it out! By the way, does Yahoo even respond to these comments? -

THe lists are NOT working in this new format - I cannot export specific mailing lists, I cannot edit the lists unless I delete someone from them first - however, there is no notification that the list is "full." This new contact format is not working and I run my business with this email! Please please help.

As of today my contact list only shows up in the extreme right hand portion of the page and I see no way to edit the info on any of my contacts. What's going on?

I cannot imagine how you thought the new contacts format was an improvement. I want to be able to get the whole contacts page, not just a prompt.

this is also my complaint - and it is essential for me to be able to sort and catalogue contacts. and I see that this complaint has been ongoing since January '19, it is now August - I will have to leave Yahoo if this isn't sorted this very week. I would like an update from Yahoo please.

Yahoo, your new contact list layout *****! Whose **************idea was this? You can't add new contacts to an existing list, nor can you delete!

I repeat the comment from another person:
Sometime between August 9 and August 18, 2019, Yahoo apparently has changed how my contacts are displayed for viewing and/or Editing. Before, I clicked on the "Contacts" icon and a new tab opened, showing all my contacts and lists I had created. I could then edit existing contacts or add new ones
Now, I just get a side window that shows my contacts in no apparent order and is not very intuitive to use. I strongly recommend going back to the previous display for maintaining contacts
For example, I just added a contact. then I wanted to add that contact to a list. But they do not appear on the search in any way. I can't change the number of search items presented, for example. My contacts and their lists relate to a range of activities which people have given me their email addresses to contact them about - over several years, in fact. This isn't a spam operation but a normal social activity. Restore the old functionality.
In fact, the list assignment function seems to have been entirely eliminated. This is worse than useless for contacting groups of people. As others have said ... gmail is looking like a good option ...

I need to put people on certain lists and the new email they forced on us does not let you. I have tried everything.

Cannot edit the Notes section in Contacts, as it only shows the last line when I hit Edit. Also, the previous Lists I built, now show the same name multiple times...with the same name and a phone number, or the same name and an address, etc. etc. etc. And to make all of this worse, when entering a new Contact. it does not flow to the Cloud (and thus, to my other devices). Why did Yahoo make a disaster of this? I sent an e-mail to Yahoo on all of the above...but, of course, they do not respond.

FIX IT...GO BACK TO THE OLD FORMAT. This is so bad, going to start a gmail account if you don't remedy this soon.

The new version of Yahoo mail makes it nearly impossible to send emails to multiple people. So I switched to the old version and selected contacts ONE BY ONE - there isn't even the functionality to hold down the shift key to select multiple contacts. Then, of course, the email is in plain text. How am I supposed to coordinate a group of people when it is so hard to select contacts?
