Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

Yahoo redesigned mail with diversity hires and now it's more broken than ever. Contacts are BROKEN. Legacy lists cannot be altered in any way and new lists don't appear as options when composing mail. If you try to change an existing contact's data, you won't see the changes when composing -- it'll still select the older email address for example. Absolute GARBAGE.

I'm drawing you attention to the duplicated Contacts in existing Lists (for Group Emails) that occurred when Contacts were incorporated into the new format. My list had 11 Contacts but displayed each Contact at least 3 times - once with address under contact's name, once mobile no. under name and once with email under contact's name. I resolved this by deleting all the contacts on the list in question and then re-adding them. I think a fix is needed.

Adding new contacts to a specific list:

I see by now you probably have thousands of complaints about your new way of ordering/adding to/arranging contacts. Count me as part of that list. May I add one more? Who ever heard of alphabetizing by FIRST name? As an old librarian, not to mention former writer of term papers, the proper way to alphabetize is by LAST name! Moreover, whoever is ordering the list doesn't seem to know the alphabet! "Arlene" coming before "Allison?" And apparently there's no longer an option to change this system. How long will Yahoo continue to abuse its users by making its products more and more difficult to use?

So how long does it take to "Review"? This issue has been related to Yahoo multiple times on this feedback site. What does it take to get Yahoo to pay attention? Why don't they understand that making things more difficult is not an improvement? How to get their attention to a problem that many users are experiencing? I am not convinced that anyone with any responsibility ever looks at these feedback issues. Certainly they never respond.

Make contacts editable. People change their addresses you know; I'm thinking of changing mine.

I agree with all the negative comments below.
Why would you make changes that give less functionality?
Cannot sort by last name.
Only partially sorted by first name.
(e.g. - all the A's are together, but within that group they are not totally sorted alphabetically)
Cannot add someone to your contact list from an email that you have received. Please fix soon OR go back to the old method until version 2 is available.

The lists (groups) that I had before the change-over are missing contacts that I did not delete. Also the contacts in the lists (groups) are not presented in alphabetical order.

I have 2 contacts in my address book same exact first and last name. I have a CSV backup from before you changed the interface showing both. Now the second one doesn't show up in your new Contacts search and I definitely never deleted it. Definitely a bug please help!

Can't search contacts by notes after your Contacts update (which is horrible fyi). Old Contacts search would search all fields within a contact, new one doesn't. Why reduce functionality?
Also old interface at address.yahoo.com/m is gone. Why?
PS I stopped paying for Yahoo Mail Plus because you've made the mail product WORSE

I can't send my organized groups an email, without typing in individual names from a printed list. And that is a PITA when you have a group of 70 emails at a time. FIX THIS!!!

Email lists should be in alphabetical order again.
The contacts on the lists should be in alphabetical order again.
When i click a contact, I would like it the old way--that all the lists that contact is on shows up. -

Thanks for Sc****NG up my CONTACTS LIST.
I AM NO LONGER ABLE TO EDIT MY SPECIFIC LISTS BY ADDING OR DELETING CONTACTS. ALTHOUGH I USE THE ADD OR DELETE FEATURE BUTTONS, THE LISTS DO NOT CHANGE. CORRECT THIS BACK TO WHAT IT USED TO BE. I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN I RECENTLY ALLOWED THE UPDATE TO LOAD. CHANGE IT BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
