Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

Return to classic mail. List contacts by LAST name. Allow moving contacts into groups (lists) again!

The new contacts function sucks I do not have all of my contacts. I can't add anyone to my lists. I use these all of the time and now it is a mess. Thinking of going to a different browser. Why do all you companies have to change everything and take things away.

It's not an idea. I just want yahoo to fix my contacts the way they were. I can't edit, delete, can't see what list I have individuals on when I try and edit. This is not a good idea for Yahoo to change. Stop all the updating and give me what works.

The new mail format overall is AWFUL. My lists have duplicate entries of the same person, it's difficult to manage. Who said mail had to be difficult????? What about a simple mail client so we can just do what we need to do. Every time you guys make a change, you just do so for the heck of it. It's just MAIL! Leave it alone! Give is the old, simple classic mail back. Gad....

Why don't you go back to the old contact list as the new one is ****? I can't update my groups and I really need them. Very difficult to navigate and a lot of information on the contacts is now missing. Quit changing the format of the email. What you had worked? Why change a good thing and make it worse.

CRUD. Create, Read, Update, Delete. These are the 4 basic functions of data storage. This is a reminder for Yahoo's programmers/designers who've forgotten/never learned them.
Here's my report card, for New Yahoo's CONTACTS team:
CREATE: Grade = D. Reason: Slashed functionality.
I can no longer create new contacts from e-mail, I have to key them manually.
Yahoo still adds junk addresses (e,g, those harvested from 'bulk' e-mails) to my “TO:” dropdown, and won't let me delete them.READ: Grade = F. Reason: Amputated functionality
I can't find contacts because Yahoo has taken upon itself to
edit or invert contact first/last names or
reset secondary addresses as primary or
sort names by the adolescent preference of first name, not the adult standard of last name or
lose/misfile contacts because they're businesses, with no first or last name or
replace a name with a phone number...and lose the original name
suppress contact details, like phone numbers, mailing & street addresses, birthdays etc.UPDATE: Grade = F. Reason: Evanescent functionality.
Yahoo won't let me edit contact details—basics like a new addresses or phone numbers or jobs. Edit is almost consistently grayed-out.DELETE: Grade = F
Yahoo won't let me delete useless addresses –those that yahoo added to my contacts as a result of someone's ill addressed 'bulk' e-mail.
Yahoo won't let me delete obsolete addressYahoo contacts fails on 3 of 4 data storage functions. We know it wasn't tested, but why was it ever released?
Shame on Yahoo

I have spent 2 days trying to determine if all the folks I put on a list are Still there because Now you don't have it listed in alphabetical order by last name And I can't just add a name from the contacts I have, I have to type it in Again! This new format is Terrible!!

In addition to agreeing with most of what my fellow contact users are saying, my "lists" inside contacts is not viewable. Rather, I see a contact or two instead of my lists. I coded many of my contacts into useful categories such as health, family, businesses I buy from, and so on. All gone now! Yes, I need them back!

In order to mail out volunteer messages correctly, it's imperative that I be able to separate contacts into assignment "Groups" in order to manage mailings. Without "Groups", I will have to wade through all of my hundreds of contacts in order to mail to less than 60 on a monthly basis. Please let me know if there is a way to do this using the new mail system. Also please make it easier to navigate by returning contacts to the main screen instead of tucking them away on the side. This problem has plagued me when using mobile devices for a while now. Thank You.

I used to be able to open my contacts on a page of their own. Now they are on the right side of my email page. I can only see a few names at a time. Fix this like it was last month.

You're making things worse with new interface. Stop trying to "dumb down" the look. DON'T take away options!!!!
