Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

Why don't you have a phone number that we can call and get help with problems. Your so called Customer Service s the Worst.

Contacts used to be easy to find, add and edit. Now it's almost Impossible.

I see lots of complaints about the inability to sort the contacts list to make it more user friendly, but what I do not see is any response from Yahoo as to how to accomplish this task. What's up Yahoo? Do you just take our Yahoo Pro money and ignore us?
David K. Johnson commented
It was bad enough, when the Yahoo's at Yahoo, whom, I guess, are trying to justify their jobs, changed our address book order, from last name, to first name. Now, to make it almost impossible, to find names, the order is by EMAIL ADDRESS. How stupid are you? It's now, almost impossible, to find anyone, unless you know, their email address.

COntinue to have contact problems and including all of them dissapeared

Contacts list should have a button that can be pushed that will automatically put all
names in alphabetical order. Can't find out how to do this with the present format.

It would also be helpful if we could have our contacts displayed alphabetically, by last name, and to also see ALL of our contacts listed when we select ALL. Surely we should have the option of alphabetizing our contacts either by first or last name. The contact setup is terrible!

I also hate the new format. I like my contacts to be listed by first name, not they way YOU want them. And spellcheck is another thing. What the **** is wrong with you geeks? Cant you find something more challenging to do than drive us crazy?

I can't even get to the contacts list any more let alone edit it. I have had this problem for quite awhile.
I've heard that Yahoo is going down hill. Apparently so if after 799 comments the problem is still only "under review."

I just realised tht all my contacts and email addresses have dissapeared on my computer. Please could you explain to me whether I have been hacked and could you retrieve all my contacts back to me.

On multiple occasions today, I have tried to Edit an existing Contact in my email system on Yahoo.com. I have received the error message "UNABLE TO LOAD at this time" Try again later. I also ran in to this problem as trying to Delete an old contact. I finally was able to perform an Edit and a Delete after 8 hours.

The contact address book seems to have become a useless tool - as we can no longer edit or add anything to it anymore. The SAVE option does not function at all

I had an extensive contact list built in Yahoo mail. Now they are gone. What happened??

I see many user complaints and requests from Yahoo to fix their miserable Contacts. They've been ignoring customers for years.
Get their attention on TWITTER. Embarrass them on TWITTER. Publicly tweet your complaints on Twitter to @yahoocare & @yahoo
Let the world know about their horrible support.
They won't be able to hide behind this blog. Their miserable performance will be out there for all to see.

I just wanted to add my voice to say that the CONTACTS is still not working and I can't add or edit any contacts anymore - you just have to move this up on your priority list - UNDER REVIEW since August 2019 just sends the message that you don't care about your customer complaints

My contacts icon does not work either!

why can't I save new contacts or edit existing ones ?
Been a problem for several weeks
This is in it's 2nd yr. Obviously Yahoo (Verizon/ATT) does not have the ability to make a user-friendly contact list much less care to solve problems. I'm surprised that anybody paying for the site or using for business haven't abandoned ship by now. It used to surpass gmail and outlook by far. Only fond memories of the past....

Whatever yahoo did with the "new" e-mail really screwed up my contact list. I had them sorted by last name. Now they are sorted by first name and I can't edit the list. I was in data processing/IT for 35 years and we had an expression that worked for us: " If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Nothing was wrong with the old version of mail !!!!
