Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

I use groups all the time. I can't figure out how to add someone to the group or remove them from the group. This is very frustrating. I'm thinking about changing to a different provider!

I've read several of the comments and completely agree. It is very hard to find and edit contacts with whatever you changed.

I cannot add a contact unless I select a "list". I just want to add a name to my general list of e-mail contacts. How to do it??

I'm unable to access Contacts in the current format. I also can't figure out how to add or delete people from my groups. This is very frustrating! Please fix it!

Has anyone her actually spoken, or even emailed or chatted directly, with a Yahoo representative? I can't even figure out how to do that anymore unless I pay for the Yahoo Account Pro+LastPass (which I would gladly do for a month if I thought it would help with this situation). What is a good email or phone number for them? What have they said about this mess with Contacts??

That was 16 days ago. When will this be fixed??
We're begging for Yahoo to help us. Is it that hard to give us what we ask for? -

This new format is terrible. Finding, editing, deleting contacts is nearly impossible. Adding contacts to lists is impossible. Contacts previously added to lists get dropped and then cannot be added back.

I went to delete a contact within a group. Instead, it deleted the contact completely!!! This is unacceptable! Further, if I'm in the "new version", and I go to edit my contacts, I can't even see the list. It's not using the full part of the right screen, but maybe a inch or so. Therefore, I go to "edit", but can't see what I'm trying to edit.

Concerning the new Yahoo layout of the Addresses I can edit each entry OK from where they are displayed on the new RH side of the page column -- but when I compose a new e-mail message this editing does not go into the addresses where I choose the recipient from? How do I do this??

I have spent years adding new contacts, organizing them and adding all the applicable info to each one of them. You took all of that away without even notifying me. The first thing you can do is allow me to organize them by the persons last name. Right now you organized the contacts by the date of input which is a total waste. You need to start by making the change I suggest IMMEDIATELY or your contact as they appear now are useless. Next, you need to be able expand the view of the contacts. By do allow us to organize the names on how we want them NOW.

Would it be possible for you to indicate the number of contacts in a distribution list? This is important since distribution lists are currently limited to 99 contacts, and I can see no way of determining the number of contacts in a list other than composing a "dummy" message and addressing it to the list name.

Trying to see what lists contact is assigned to. Cannot see in details. use List search, selected one list which i know they are in, used the "search" for their name. Did not come up. Only people who are NOT in that list came up.

It used to be when you opened up the details of a contact, you saw what lists you had assigned them to. Can't do that now! I don't even know how to because the "search" function from the Lists menu only seems to find contacts that AREN'T on the list in question

I made the mistake of asking to put contacts in order by first name. I actually want to put them in order by last name. When I replied, the response did not address any of my specific concerns.

Why do you take features away when you "improve" Yahoo Mail? I sent a message about putting contacts in alphabetical order by last name and got a reply saying that I want to put in order by first name. I wasn't asking to arrange alphabetically by first name. I was asking to arrange alphabetically by last name. The names are currently grouped by first name, but even these are not alphabetical. I noticed that the first few names (under a letter) are not in alphabetical order, but when I click to see more, the remaining names are alphabetical (by first name). Please put option to arrange alphabetically by last name. When adding a contact, now you don't have fields for first name and last name. The person didn't address the issue of names in lists appearing multiple times (once with telephone number and again with email address).
