I can't see any option to customise the columns (fields) in the Inbox...
The default view is just an expanded message preview type list, showing Sender on line 1, then Subject on line 2, then text preview on line 3, with a very short form of Date or Time on the right, and an icon if there is an attachment or image...
I would like to be able to select the columns I want, and how wide each should be. As well as turn on or off the message preview.
Thanks! -

The format of Yahoo mail works okay on a large monitor, but on decent sized Asus Chromebook the non-email stuff take up maybe 85% of the screen, and the email and email titles become so extremely small that using Yahoo Mail has become too tedious. Literally thinking of switching out after using it for decades. I now mostly use other media instead of my Yahoo account due to the inability to see much of the messages. Please fix soon. (I know about text resizing and have tried to fix it that way, but no luck.)

This was marked for review MONTHS ago! Please, allow us to clear valuable screen real estate by choosing not to have these displayed!

When I send mass emails the addresses take up all the space and I am left with 3 lines to write in and must scroll to see the 3 lines of the message I am replying to. I need to see what I am writing AND what I am responding to. I do not need to see all those recepients. Also scroll does not work smoothly to show all the lines....it jumps in bunches.

In the feedback section there are a number of items that are marked reviewed. if we have the same feedback we would like to see what the product team has responded to the feedback. what are we to do? resubmit the idea if we like it (we cant vote if the feedback has been reviewed). for example we dont know what is the response on the ability to size the email list area (wasted screen real estate by various

having the possibility to drag and choose the width of our folder bar would be great and just look professional. Not having it will just **** off people.

Right hand pane of inbox can be closed to make the inbox wider, BUT WHEN I SEARCH FOR A SENDER IN MY INBOX, YOU MAKE THE RIGHT HAND PANE HUGE. it is far too wide. we should be allowed to close it again so we can see the titles of each email in the search results. the center pane becomes too narrow when youdo that! In this case i searched for Lowe's , ( store) as they keep emailing me and i want to delete all of them. But i want to see titles of what i'm deleting. you make it impossible. Because for some super stupid reason you think this company has to have a huge wide business card at top of the right hand pane/ columns, for no reason at all. it is empty except at the top, and i don't need it in t he least OF COURSE. stop doing that! you squeezed the center of the inbox too narrow and it's absolutely senseless. There is no way of closing that right hand column when looking at search results, so we can have a nice wide view of the search results and able to read the titles.

Why does the subject line space shrink when I search for a message? It's so small I can't recognize the item I'm looking for. I pay for Pro and thought that would help as it does with the Inbox. The large space to the right on a search is not helpful to me! Make that an option.

When a collection of emails (search list) is returned and under a separate tab, YOU decided to add a panel to the far right, thereby (1) giving me information I neither want nor need, (2) reducing the width of the email window. Please allow me to PREVENT THIS, or at the very least, allow me to resize the unwanted/unneeded panel so that I can see more of the selected email.

Wait... it says gathering feedback since Oct 02, 2017. I have seen prior posts going back at least 7 years. I think it's time, don't you. Gathering done... proceed on, my good sirs and madams, to create Folder Column mouse widening. FORSOOTH, the time is upon us to FREE THE FOLDERS (#FreetheYahooFolderColumn). As the great Aretha Franklin sang "Freeeedom!!".

Allow widening of folders column. Please. PLEASE. P. L. E. A. S. E. Puh-leeaasseeeee. I cannot read my Folders titles and it makes me sad. So very sad. Sometimes I have to rock myself to sleep thinking about my column width and if anyone @yahoo cares about me and my column width needs and desires.

By reducing the space of the message I can't read my emails because the end of the message lines is cut off. Please go back to the former way TX

In the current version, the bar on the right utilizes almost 25% of the screen when not minimized, and decides to un-minimize itself every time a new email is opened, without providing any useful information.
Inserting a setting to allow for the removal of undesired toolbars, or being able to somehow customize the layouts of the toolbars would greatly improve my content with the service. At the moment more than half of the screen is taken up by things that aren't the email I'm trying to read, and while it may look pretty, it is annoyingly non-functional.Heavily considering switching to a different email provider, as the current layout is frustratingly inefficient.

Just adding to this request. This really is an option that is needed. The folder column is far too thin. Especially with super widescreen monitors now, it doesn't need to be fixed at such a small width. This change would definitely improve the user experience.
Thanks.

Wow - such a simple request and no Yahoo response?? Not even "it's being considered" :/
Please provide some way to widen the folder panel.

Since I can no longer search solely the folder list for a folder - an option available in Classic - how do I at least expand the width of the folder realestate so that I can see more of the name???

Tighten the vertical spacing on my folders listing so I can see more of my folders at the same time

Yahoo email developers are incompetent !!! After years of people complaining about the inability of users to widen the email folders column they still don’t get it or even care !!! If you use more than 9 letters to name a folder then the rest of the text is cut off by the narrow preset column width. We used to be able to simply drag the column to a wider width so that we could read the entire folder name. Now in Yahoo’s infinite level of arrogance and stupidity, we can’t do that anymore. People have been complaining about this issue for nearly a decade and you still don’t fix this problem. As I have been saying for years. Yahoo is a DEAD email service, and it just keeps getting worse with every iteration that you FORCE down our throats. You pay your top executives hundreds of millions of dollars to continue running Yahoo into oblivion, but you don’t pay any attention to what users actually want in a service. It really is a shame that you don’t give a dam what your customers say. Without us, NONE of you would even have jobs !!!! Absolutely Incompetent !!!!!

Give option to get rid of the space eating search bar at the top. Give option to customize folders and delete unneeded or unwanted ones. Quite changing things just to change them. Developers need to impress the customer instead of trying to impress each other.

Right column doesn't stay minimized after clicking the right arrow to minimize it. Clicking any email message opens it again so that it's taking up 1/3 of the screen.
