After sending an email, the sender should be able to see easily if any responses have been received as they should appear on top. The sender should not have to re-read his/her original email, scroll all the way down to the end of the original email to see if there have been any responses.

You've made it very difficult to follow a conversation, or to even find the most recent reply. It's just a big mess, with a lot of the same stuff over and over. Please get rid of the superfluous ****, or just go back to having each message be separate, and forget the conversation thing.

HATE yahoo's brilliant inbox grouping.
If you're going to foist this nonsense on users, at least have the balls to let us turn it off, if we choose to.

I am working online since 20 years, so opening an e-mail should not be a problem, but with Yahoo you feel like you enter into a mental sickness bubble. I am unable to open an e-mail I received yesterday as all the emails from the same address are grouped in one group where even God doesn't understand how to find the various e-mails. I have tried different configurations, but it's always the same mess. Shame on you to put people in such a horrible situation and drive them crazy. Your whole IT team must have taken too much LSD or something. I will never use this f..ng thing again! It is an insult to human logic and intelligence!

On my phone I'm able to see my email the way I like it, with the conversations UNgrouped. On my computer I can't UNgroup the conversations and I hate it so much!
I hate to speak negatively, but on the topic of things I hate.... I HATE that I can't reach customer service without paying. I appreciate that time is money, but if I need help navigating something as simple as ungrouping emails, I shouldn't have to pay $5 or more to fix it... especially considering there might not be a fix and then I'd be out money. I'm a disabled adult, but I'm tech savvy and this should be way easier an issue to fix! -

I need threads to be optional. There are times when I can't find the current email because the threads are getting in the way.
Plus I ned to alphabetize my emails but there is no longer an option. Please put that back! -

maybe go back to basics and don't automatically affix our past messages to a reply because it's really insulting to people with more than 12 seconds of short-term memory because we can remember what an e-mail thread is all about usually just by looking at the subject line

Conversations are grouped together, and makes finding and replying to certain parts of a conversation difficult. Having an option not to thread messages together would be helpful instead of having to revert back to the old version of yahoo?

PLEASE DO NOT join emails together in threads just because they might have been connected in the past - if a user sends a SEPARATE email they want to KEEP THEM SEPARATE 0 - you have caused a lot of damage and I am not sure if I don't have a legal case you cannot just make decisions on behalf of users who is connected to an email or not! The software seems to be to blame as I copied text from an email I had already sent to another address, this address then automatically threaded to the new address even though I set up and composed the email separately - how on earth with the technology and knowhow you have can you allow this to happen? And when I try to raise the issue in a conversation thread it gets hidden by putting it as a comment with a different conversation on gmail not Yahoo a conversation where conveniently the comments have closed and of course I can't respond to that as the email is for information only - what a company you are I am seriously considering not using Yahoo in the future I am totally unimpressed with the way you treat your users and your unaccountability and lack of engagement and communication: how ironic!

When I wanted to send 3 separate emails Yahoo made the decision with no permission from me to thread those emails together so each recipient could see each others emails!! This breaks data protections and puts me in a massively compromised situation! As it is I was making a separate agreement with three tenants as to their contract etc and because they saw each others emails one of them decided to challenge me on it saying I was treating them differently/ unfairly etc. This wasn't the case but seeing the other emails lead to a sense of discovering something untoward. I DELIBERATELY send separate messages and Yahoo UNDERMINED my decision. I still can't see how to undo this setting and why on earth would that be the default?? Is Yahoo legally liable in a situation where data is shared with others because of this ridiculous and dangerous feature of Yahoo mail?

YAHOO, PLEASE LISTEN! Really read and understand all this feedback. Your customers aren't happy. Stop making gratuitous changes that only confuse the user and make performance more difficult. There was nothing wrong with classic mail, the old calendar, or the old contacts formula. Sure, new options can come up--but add them to or integrate the with the old format. I have had two email addresses for years. I recently opened a new one. The inbox in that new email address is totally different from my other two. It stacks emails in a string (I--underscore "I"--need to me the one who decides if I want a string, and if I want everyone on it). I chose to pay the $4.99 monthly for both email addresses--I get no joy from that. The usual answer is that you're "aware" and can't figure the fix. What gives?

ALL I WANT TO DO IS SET UP A SIMPLE INTERNET ACCOUNT THAT DIPLAYS THE MESSAGES IN REVERSE ALPHABETICAL ORDER!! IT SHOULD BE AS SIMPLE AS CLICKING A BUTTON, BUT IT'S NOT!! IT AUTOMATICALLY GROUPS MAIL BY CONVERSATION AND WHEN IT DISPLAYS THE ENTIRE CONVERSATION IT'S IN CHRONOLOGOVAL; ORDER, THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANT AND I CAN'T FIND A SIMPLE WAY TO CHANGE IT!!!!!! O SHOULDN'T EVEN HAVE TO POST SUCH A SIMPLE QUESTION!!!!!!!!!!!

Whe should see only the previous email you are replying to NOT all previous emails to the same person. This is really bad!!!

Unrelated email messages get condensed into the same thread/conversation just because the object is blank.
Change this behaviour and consider senders, receivers. -

When viewing a conversation/thread. I would like to see all messages in date order. By simply scrolling to the bottom to find the new message. I spent lots of time scrolling up and down my threads which are not in order and repeat themselves. Sometimes, the messages are condensed to one word per line. I have tried to find a way to fix it and to message yahoo. But cannot find how to. Has anyone else experienced this? If yes how did you fix it? If I cannot fix it, then I will open a gmail account. I don't have the time to sit and scroll through a whole thread to find my latest message. I have resorted to looking on my phone which is not ideal. Thanks

Please return to the old classic inbox and mail system! The conversations are horrendous to use particularly if you have replied to an email and also forwarded it to someone else. This then becomes a 3 way conversation even though it's really 2 separate conversations and is very difficult to follow. No one wants this feature. We don't need conversations. The old way of sending emails worked fine and i can see through the email trail if I need to.

THe conversation thread is HORRIBLE and super confusing. OI go into my sent folder to check an email i sent yesterday and it throws me the whole conversation thread from 6 months ago and i have to find the one that i sent yesterday. Why isnt it smart enough to just open the one i sent yesterday as that is what i clicked on. You guys need proper QA and UAT for this Mail product it SUCKS!!!

Why do you have all of these IDEAS Forums - when you do not listen - or change BACK to the old - which was Good!
It seems we are all wasting our time telling you what does not work or function- -

Starting today, when I open an email, it is displayed in the same position as I left the last one. If I was at the bottom of the previous email, that is how my new email is displayed. If I was somewhere in the middle of the previous email, that is how my new email is displayed. When reading an email, I like to start at the beginning. Please fix this and add a comment to the code stating that it is not to be altered. Don't your developers test? It is amazing how a very small change can break something else. Thirty years in IT taught me that.
