just here to echo the other comments - spam filter has been going off the rails of late, it's become WAY over sensitive. people and institutions i've been emailed with for YEARS - including my wife and emails I send to my yahoo address from my work account - have been routing to spam. how do you not include a factor in your algorithms to consider whether I've exchanged emails with the sender previously??

Most of my wanted mail has been going to the spam folder for the past three weeks. I don't even get notifications! I have tried to fix this, but nothing has worked! Can Yahoo please fix this URGENTLY?

I have seen a huge increase in SPAM mail making it into my Inbox. I have to delete 15-20 emails per day. Yes, please bring back the Spam filter, or at least it's effectiveness. I have had the same email for over 20 years and don't want to have to change it now!

All my regular emails that I received from family, friends, school have gone into spam for the past 3 weeks. I have followed instructions on Not Spam, applied filters which do not work. I have had this email account for over 25 years and this issue has never occurred. Can Yahoo please fix this issue URGENTLY!!

For about 2 weeks now I have been having the issue of important business e mail going into spam. These are people that are in my address book and email almost daily. I have marked them as not spam and tried setting up a filter but nothing seems to work. Please fix it.

My wanted email is getting swapped with my spam email. The spam is going to my inbox and the wanted email is going to spam. This is very frustrating. I am missing emails from my kid's school because they end up in my spam folder. FIX THIS PLEASE!!!!!!!

I continue to lose important emails to Spam folder and don't find them for days. I will have to switch from yahoo mail if this continues. Useless to have email that only delivers 98% of important emails.

I've also been finding that lots of important emails from people in my contacts list have been going straight into the spam folder over the last few weeks. It's causing me lots of problems. What's going on? I've had my Yahoo account for more than 20 years and this has never happened before.

There are two distinct types of comments to this: those that are complaining they get too much spam and those that are complaining that important mail is going to spam. These are distinct issues that should not be confused. However, clearly Yahoo needs to address its system of spam management and give the user more control over this.

Just chiming in that I have also been struggling with important emails, all people in my contacts, literally even my husband's emails, all being sent to spam. I have more real emails in my spam folder than I am getting in my inbox. And spam is regularly ending up in my inbox. Everyone is a contact, often they are responses to emails originated by me. No matter how many time I mark the same conversations as "not spam" the next response goes right back into spam. And no way to contact yahoo to address this without paying for customer service?? Ridiculous. I've had this email for 15 years, time to start moving everything over to an email that actually functions. So disappointing.

Here in the last two weeks, I have been bombarded with spam. I don't know what is going on, I check them and click the spam tab and send them to spam. Next thing I know, there's more. They have the same sender information in the list, but I haven't opened them to see if it's actually the same email address. What can be done about this?

Allot of my Regular mail goes into spam and I miss allot of emails. (started a few weeks ago) There needs to be a on/off for spam filtering. I would like to turn my spam off or at least less sensitive...

We already get enough spam and don't need people to be able to repeat their spam to us.

In the last couple of weeks Yahoo has started sending anything from a school email address to spam (from different schools). This includes people who are in my contacts list and who I email very regularly. I've set up a filter to attempt to overcome this issue, but Yahoo thinks it knows better than me and doesn't apply this filter to messages sent to spam.
At the very least, a user should be able to see whether or not there is new mail in spam without having to open the folder. I shouldn't have to rely on luck in order to find these poorly filtered emails.
I actually get next to no spam and would be happy to have an option to override the spam filter completely.

I've never had issues of real and important emails being sent to my spam and now in the course of the last two weeks ALL the emails I received in response to job applications were sent to spam, where there was no indication about the number of emails in that folder, and that I don't regularly check because I used to be able to trust Yahoo not to do this to me. Because of this issue I've already lost one chance at an interview because of the timing, and it now looks bad for my communication skills, which are stellar. I've already marked them as not spam multiple times, and it's not done anything.
On the other half of it, I constantly get HUNDREDS of emails from some sort of spam listing that was set up from someone else not related to me because they contact me by a completely different name, and there is no way to filter these emails from being let into my inbox/spam at all.

It is bad enough that I am getting spam from the same organization (different username) regardless if I block it but now I'm getting notified that there is spam in my spam folder.... WTF, get with the program yahoo. Stop asking for feedback if you're not going to do anything with it
