Why aren't "newsletter" scam emails in my Inbox at all, and why so many in my Junk box as well??
How many new spam addresses can we try to block before surrendering to the barrage of garbage?

Like everyone else that gets spam, the problem is that yahoo mail uses the spam filter before applying the user filters. This is the wrong way around. The user supplied filters will be accurate in sending the unwanted emails to the deleted email folder. For example I am constantly flooded by spam from the @hotmail.com and @outlook.com domains.
I DO NOT KNOW ANYONE that uses @hotmail.com and @outlook.com anymore for legitimate emails. I have added filters to send these domains to the deleted email folder but they still appear in the spam folder.
It would be preferable to block the @hotmail.com and @outlook.com email domains all together !! That would remove at least 50 to 60 % of the spam.

Once in a while Yahoo will send a valid e-mail to spam. That's fine, Better safe than sorry, But now that I can no longer block spammers searching for valid e-mails among the spam is not worth my time. It would be easier to switch my primary e-mail to another carrier that listens to its users.

The spam filter is clearly broken and the only reason I can come up with is that the filter wrongly marked a legit email as spam and someone complained. Well the solution is not to open up the flood gates and allow email that is very clearly spam (even for the most rudimentary of filters should detect) through. It is not working properly and needs to be addressed.

I am about to drop all use of Yahoo. In the last 3 months, I went from getting maybe 20-30 SPAM auto-filtered per month,
to a hundred UNFILTERED put in my Inbox last month.
to 680+ UNFILTERED SPAM in my inbox today, in 6 days!
WHAT Happened Yahoo? Did someone turn off all SPAM blocking functionality? I have less than 20 business related and newsletters total that I use with Yahoo - I do not use it publicly.
Do you know how long it takes to scan through 680 SPAM messages, click the checkbox and then click SPAM? Like one comment I read here - your SPAM process opens the email before putting in SPAM folder and that notifies sender??? Is this true? Looks like it since I have not used my Yahoo with any 'new' locations for many months.
1) Support allowing email only from my contacts. PLEASE ADD THIS!
2) Block all emails sent from email addresses whose domain do not match content. I.e. email saying from Netflix when sent from gmail.com
3) I checked Privacy and Security settings - wow, Yahoo supports only 4 blocked domains... not enough.

I get 10 emails a day from this place - they all bypass your spam filters. Please figure it out. If anyone is also having this issue I would call the Camp Lejeune settlement place at 1-800-628-7710 and ask to be removed. They only way they will stop is if you start wasting their time. You can even file a mock claim to help you get through.

Someone seems to be trying to access Yahoo accounts via a "shut down' scam!!

Please start blocking know spammers and phrases that continually come in hundreds of times a month.
For example: this heading is a known spam:
"You're about to permanently delete all your contact(s)."
Please just block it, no matter where it comes from. It is known and obvious spam. Same with many other phrases that continually clog my email box.

Why are you blasting individuals with irrelevant and obvious phishing emails. I get hundreds HOURLY. it chokes my bandwidth. This is extortion . Paying a fee is moot because you ignore that regardless. ********.

Stop allowing spam advertising on Yahoo email - I've had constant spam even after I opt-out & blocked spam - update SPAM Blocker

despite "block senders" and we are over 80, I continuously receive spam in my mailbox, I have other mailboxes with other providers, but I don't receive so many spams per day, I think yahoo spam blocker, is not reliable, like others. you need to review your block servers for leaks from all sides

YOU (Yahoo) are paying for all this storage of SOOO much junk, so you'd think you'd want to reduce it. My inbox has over 120,000 emails after years of not being able to keep up with all the junk. This is absurd to humanity! Let us be able to actually deal with our inboxes!!

ONE THING YOU CAN DO YAHOOMAIL IS TO STOP SELLING OUR EMAIL INFORMATION TO YOUR SPONSORS TO GENERATE REVENUE FOR YOUR GREEDY POCKETS. I DON'T KNOW WHEN IN GOD'S NAME I AUTHORIZED YOU TO SELL MY EMAIL ADDRESS! NOW ROUGHLY 70% OF EMAIL IN MY INBOX TO THIS ACCOUNT IS SPAM! AMOUNT OF SPAM TO THIS ACCOUNT IS UNREASONABLE!!!

I get constant spam from email addresses like this: email@example.com
There are two constant features: all come from a domain that includes .org.uk in the address. And the rest of the addresses are long strings of gibberish. Why can't you train your spam filter to block these?

How can we turn off the Active/Intelligent Spam filters. I only want the Passive Spam filters. Meaning I (End-User), tell yahoo when to mark email messages as spam.
I don't need a robot to automatically put important email into the spam folder just because it thinks it is spam. Looks like this is an ongoing issue that has not been resolved yet?

With Filters, add a Block setting that will BLOCK all emails that meet the criteria for the filters.

Recently I have started getting a significantly greater amount of spam email coming through your filters, and making it to my inbox, only a daily basis. This is baffling because obviously Yahoo has changed something and now using my Yahoo Mail address has become irritating and frustrating. So much so that I am considering migrating completely to Gmail unless thigs improve. Just saying that Google has way better spam filters in place than Yahoo, and it makes me wonder if Yahoo has some financial incentive for letting it happen.
