Searched "how to make Yahoo Mail filter spam better" and all that comes up is "mark emails as spam and it will start filtering them." I've been marking spam like crazy for a month and it just keeps getting worse. NO other mail platform has allowed so much spam. If this keeps up I'm migrating all my Yahoo Mail to my iCloud Mail account and dropping Yahoo Mail.

Here's another issue. It's recommended to check other suggestions and ideas before posting new ones, so I did. I agree with so many other comments and want to vote to help cut down on all the new post as recommened but every time it won't let me vote saying " we can't count your vote at this time" something like that so that's not working either. Why can't I vote on previous posts, where it says " How important is this to you? Please fix the spam

The more I'm using the spam filter the spam I'm getting. I have to remember to check the spam folder regularly because non spam often gets sent into the spam folder. I've missed important emails because of that even from regular senders. Using the spam filter seems to increase more spam. Why?

For a few weeks now I receive a LOT of spam emails, all of them with similar content and the same text formatting. I believe your servers have been sacked because all of them manage to pass through your Spam Filters. They are clearly sent by the same entity if you look at the message content and formatting.
Maybe you should check the spam activity on the servers.

Keep spam out of inbox ((big problem) AND spam folder.(50-100 a day). Gmail account never has inbox spam, and in the past two months NO spam even in the spam folder. DO WHATEVER GMAIL IS DOING!! BTW, the domains of the spam are now scrambled alphabet soup, thereby rendering the block 3 domains function useless.

I'm getting 100 spams a day! What happened to the block function? Bring it back or do something even better.

I'm having the same issue.
One mailing list I'm on (with filters set to go to a particular folder) keeps going to SPAM.
I've had to move this mailing list emails from spam 3 times in the past week.
The issue I suspect is that they take note of people saying it's spam, but ignoring people saying that it's not.
In this case there's probably a number of fake email addresses saying that it's spam to stop it going to those who want it.
Another side of this issue is that their spam detection is broken.
I know that they DON'T use a white list or safe list for each user (unlike Hotmail). If they did, this whole issue would be fixed.I agree that they should run the email through the user's filters BEFORE applying the spam check.
Best wishes,

Outlook, Gmail and even Apple. Uses basic authentication checks before email delivery. It's called SPF. Look it up. It rejects any emails that fail and are known to be spam. This needs to be a thing. My mailbox has over 1000 of spam/phishing emails a day. Which could have been prevented by BASIC of BASICS of authentication.

Lately I've been getting spam from emails with very long addresses. I would like a way to filter all messages from address over 40 or so characters long into the spam folder.

Too much spam is getting through! Fix it! Also, sometimes the spam folder will not delete spam with the trash can. Have to select delete all to manually delete.

The spam On Yahoo is beyond ridiculous! I block senders , I block domains but still receive spam from those sources. Yahoo must be partners somehow with these spammers!

I have used Yahoo mail in some form for 30+ years. To be fair in recent times it has been as a secondary address, but done. Not even that any more. Yahoo mail has become truly unusable. The spammers have completely defeated your filter and logging in is a pain **********. My account is now abandoned

I was all set to watch the Super Bowl tonight on my NFL pass when lo and behold Yahoo's breaking news on my email shows who won. Of course I went to setting and unclicked it, but really stupid. Thanks again Yahoo for ruining my Sunday.
