I used the spam tools and blocked the domains of the worst offenders ,but still getting bombarded with spam from those domains! I have used up my 1000 blocked address file and deleted it and started over. This has to be something that yahoo is aware of ,it's beyond ridiculous.

Yahoo email supports the setup of filters but they are only applied AFTER yahoo has checked if they weren't spam.
From yahoo help: "All emails go through the spam filter before going through other filters"This setup is causing me issues, because somethimes a valid email ends-up into the spam folder and this issue is that I get so much spam, that verifying if there is some valid email among them all becomes very tricky.
I tried creating filters to move spam email into a folder "to be deleted", so I would delete all the spam as per my own rules (ideally we can also move to trash instead of another folder), keeping the spam folder a bit cleaner and making it easier to "see" if any valid emails have ended up in here.Saw that other users wanted to have similar functionality, but threads were closed, so opening a new one...

WE NEED TO BLOCK THE SENDERS!! AND ONLY BLOCK THE DOMAIN, WHAT IS AFTER THE @, BECAUSE OF AUTO-GENERATED E-MAILS. ONLY THE USER IS AUTO-GENERATED, THE DOMAIN AFTER @ IS ALWAYS THE SAME.
BUT THERE ARE SOME E-MAILS THAT DON'T SHOW ME THE "BLOCK" OPTION... IS MY BLOCK LIST FULL????? I THINK I BLOCKED 100 UNTIL NOW... IF WE COULD BLOCK BY DOMAIN, WE'D HAVE SHORTER BLOCK LISTS.
I KNOW THE SPAM FOLDER IS FOR THEM. BUT I'M SICK OF SEEING **** AND MATURE **** IN THE SPAM FOLDER EACH DAY! EVERY DAY 15-20 **** E-MAILS. IT'S PAST RIDICULOUS AT THIS POINT!
SO PLEASE GIVE US THE OPTION TO BLOCK E-MAILS BY DOMAINS, NOT FULL ADDRESS. AND THE OPTION TO MANAGE OUR BLOCK LISTS. SO WE CAN REMOVE THE OLD AUTO-GENERATED E-MAILS, OR EDIT THEM.
PLEASE YAHOO!!!!

I am getting several emails a day with the same tag lines, same subject, same rough email address, and no matter what filters I add, or what emails I block, they get through. And what's more, I can't just block the spammer from the email itself, because YOU apparently decided that this particular sender is immune to being blocked. So to do it, I have to copy their email address, and manually add a filter to block them, because after more than 2 decades, you STILL aren't listening to the people and allowing us to block entire domains like a SANE developer would do.

I get over 100 spam messages a day. Can you please implement a feature that allows us to block IP addresses? Also could you consider blocking any incoming email where the email address is hidden?

Over the past few months it is like you have turned off the spam filtering. I used to get 1 or 2 sneaking through per month and now I get 20-30 per day. Even worse, a lot of the spam uses old dates so it tucks the spam into my mail list months in the past.
This is seemingly an easy fix.
Is the increased spamming intentional on your part? I can say that there is no way I will be paying you for the upgraded mail if you can't demonstrate basic spam handling in the current version.

Wendy Debow is showing people's inboxes now- ANOTHER VERY OBVIOUS SCAM-with the subject talking about 'unpaid invoices'! YAHOO MAIL NEEDS TO BLOCK OUT AND REPORT ALL EMAILS FROM 'WENDY DEBOW' STARTING TODAY! PAY ATTENTION!

IT WOULD BE REALLY NICE IF A TAG AN EMAIL AS SPAM AND I WOULD NEVER GET THAT EMAIL AGAIN BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENS, I JUST GET MORE THAN I STARTED WITH. THE FILTER ON YAHOO IS TERRIBLE AND I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM AND YET IT DOES NOT GET FIXED.

Why is the algorithm so bad? It's so obvious, just by the random characters, that it's fake enough for good code to block.

Yahoo spam filter is horrible. Apparently in the decades yahoo has existed, none of the geniuses working there have thought maybe emails that dont contain actual letter in the subject might be spam. Spam spam spam. Mark an email as spam and i still get spam from the same sender right to the inbox. Meanwhile, legit emails go straight to spam. This is why i have never and
will never use yahoo as a primary email and for anything other than signing up for **** on the internet where I dont want them spamming my real email account. -

My idea is to have a block button on the email page, so I can block forever the people that keeps sending me emails that I don't want. Put it right beside the delete button.

i would like to complain. i have received advertisement in my email client from capitol one. i advise you do not do that as that company is not trusted that is why when i received capitol one in the mail from my carrior it not possible to get in touch with agent before signing up. the call drops insteads of reaching an agent. some companies you can reach agent 1st before signing up to ask about it 1st but not that company they have designed different user are getting suckered into it so i suggest you do not advertise capitol one in the email client. some other company you advertise might be fine as they reputable but not capitol one. i suggest you do not advertise that particular one.

your spam folder is not very reliable sometimes email from trusted site go in there there for i am expecting an email from them sometimes but that needs to be corrected. my antivirus can determine trusted sites sometimes but your email client does not get the message it coming from them. that needs to be corrected. and even from people cell phone can tell if it number that routes from somewere sometimes it not actuall person but you do not sometimes send person in email in junk folder instead not of one routed one from online so you need to get that corrected.

I’m not getting emails from services I’ve subscribed to. They tell me I marked their email as spam or unsubscribed which I did not, and when they resubscribe, it still doesn’t come. Also, newsletters stop coming for some unknown reason. They’re not in Spam and I can’t fix via settings.
