The problem for me is that I type in my brand new password and it is rejected if I sign out. If it could be different, I would be grateful. I'm hoping I can successfully type in my password and it is accepted. If I'm misunderstanding how this is supposed to work please correct me. Thanks.

Gathering Feedback,…f ucking losers. This forum board, is the biggest waste of time. Yahoo Customer “LACK OF” Service, is a bunch of 2 year olds, and the reason they ignore us, is because they don’t know how to fix anything. Just ask Google, they don’t have any of these issues. Yahoo losers, you all suck!!! 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Wow, look at all of these complaints, and all the Yahoo perverts do, is ignore them!! What a bunch of pathetic, worthless, jerk offs. You are literally the most worthless, and hated customer service, on the planet. Not only are you being paid by the spammers, now you are forcing password changes?? Yahoo receives money, for every single spam email that they allow to flood our inboxes. Eat a d ick, Yahoo perverts! 🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕🖕

Oh yeah and the fact you won't even help people now unless they pay you; I'm so done with you people and if I ever do get locked out of my account which is probably just a matter of time with your ridiculous security settings, I will never, ever sign up for another account with you again.

I'm also incredibly sick of this. I'm recognized on the device already yet I'm prompted to enter my password and always told that it's incorrect even though I'm absolutely certain it's not, then I have to go through the process of receiving a confirmation code and be forced to change my password even though I've also changed it a ridiculous number of times! This is irritating enough for me to stop using Yahoo all together and I've had this account since 2007. Furthermore back when you actually did allow people to email you directly, you were made aware of this problem several years ago, I'm sure not only by me but thousands of other customers and it's actually gotten worse since then. Common sense is that people use multiple devices to access their email including public libraries which will have incognito setting. Nobody is paying you $5 a month to avoid this BS. Google already saves my password on the off chance that I did forget it which I don't!

It happened again in just a few days. This is ridiculous.
The "Make sure your account is secure!" window pops up with ONLY the option to choose "Yes, secure my account" which takes you to a password change window. I should have the option to decline this window or is Yahoo getting compromised regularly?
-
Marc A Padovani commented
You should at least give an option for the use to not change their password.
There is only one option to change password and contact information when prompted. It may be prompted because I use multiple devices to access yahoo mail. I noticed when I used a new system and logged in that when I went to another system I had previously used, it prompted me to "improve my security" (or some other phrasing).

I am getting notificaitons to change Psw alsmodt every day under the securtity reasongs, at the same time they sending 6 number key on my mobile phone and on recovery e-mail. Still not enough? What are the chances someone hacked my strong psw in yahoo e-mail (every day!!!!) together with stilling my mobile and psw from recovey e-mail? The chance is ZERO. They are playing here dirty game...If they continue with this ****, people will jusr move to other e-mail providing service. ******* idiots. And you can't even talk to them offcourse....
