Why is it SOOO difficult to generate an app password so I can receive my mail in Outlook !!!!????
Why can't we simply use our normal password to add Yahoo mail to Outlook???

Same problem here, not surprising to see NO feedback from Yahoo admin/support since mid-January. Is there any way you guys can sort this out, like PLEASE?

Same issue here! And why do I eve have to bother with generating an app specific password. Why do I have to search to even find out I need to do this? Just make it work!

It is IMPOSSIBLE to generate an app password so as to have my Yahoo mail in Outlook, which is a very commonly used app. We will really appreciate it if Yahoo can restore this feature. Alternatively, there should be an easy to use alternative (e.g. allowing 2FA to be used when someone sets-up Outlook to receive Yahoo mail).

I want all my emails and calander information in one app for easy access. I can't because I need to generate a code or something. Waste of my time don't have time this is going to be enough to delet my account.

This is ridiculous.
Yahoo requires a "Generated Password" to use Outlook, but cannot generate a password.
How stupid can a company become - make rules that cannot be complied with.
Yahoo is effectively compromising its Customers in order to create problems where none existed.
This generated password does not apply to Yahoo Mobile App or Yahoo Web-mail, only 3rd parties.
I have been with Yahoo for over 2 decades and am about to switch to Gmail.
Yahoo has created a very clever marketing tool for Gmail.
Yahoo management will be losing their bonuses based on this Toxic ****-up. -

When did this start being a problem? I encountered it now because I had to again revert to legacy outlook for mac, when I had already done so months ago, and I was able then to get my yahoo mail in outlook, but now it's impossible.
