The old interface was better in many ways. It is harder to navigate between stocks now and lines do not all show up as configured (still).
- For several months the lines in the graphs when I add 3 simple moving averages do not always fully render. I could get around it by making the lines really thick.... annoying. New interface does not have option to make them thicker. not all 3 lines show up as configured.
- When I get the graph settings I want, I want to be able to step through each stock in my portfolio. This was missing, you have re-added it, but it always goes back to top, so I have to scroll down and find my place every time.
- The only reason I use Yahoo over Google Finance is because it is better and familiar... so if you keep making it different yet LESS functional for real use, I will abandon yahoo finance for something better.
Setup 3 portfolios...with at least 6 to 20 stocks in each. Setup three graph indicators. Use 22" or larger LED screen. Zoom to 120% on firefox. Now, navigate around all 3 portfolios and you tell me if its a good interface now?

Give USERS the OPTION to choose wheather they want the OLD or NEW version.
As is charts don't even show. It's totally misserable. -

With the continuation of bugs, issues, and other inconveniences... is there a way to view and use the old chart?
Surely yahoo didn't scrap the old application code, servers used, firewall rules, DNS, Storage, and CPU allocated to the old chart.. did they?
One would think Yahoo could simply flip the routing table over to the old chart while their QA and UAT actually give the go ahead for this new chart.

I loved Yahoo charts and have been using them for years. Now, they are almost useless to me (when they actually work). I'll give them a couple more days to figure this out to make them at least as good as they were before or I'm going to have to move on to something else.

Why is it that you continually change these charts (for the worse), ask for feedback (which is always overwhelmingly negative) then keep changing?! The evidence is clear that hardly anyone like the new format. Go back to the old charts and let the programmers mess around with the Horoscope and Movie times format. Some of us count on these charts to make actual, financial decision!

I'm now an infrequent user of the site. Found alternatives to finance.yahoo after the last major "improvement" to the site.
I saw you were reengineering the charts a number of days ago, intended to comment then, but neither the charts nor feedback form worked then.
Now that the feedback form works, my comments are yahoo management. Only a company with complete contempt for their customers would send out updates that were obviously untested, and leave them there for days. Then I realized, that your user community is not your customers, its your advertisers. I understand now.
BTW, There are still numerous issues with charting, but I no longer care

The New Finance Page is absolutely ****. Go back two revisions and it was great. Do it fast before you loose everyone who still endures Yahoo. Everyone hates exactly everything with your new layout. It simply does not work.

you can improve Yahoo Finance ChartIQ by exactly duplicating the Old Charts.

Old charts automatically changed color as you added new stocks until they ran out of colors and then they were all gray or black. Why would you create a new system that adds a step that was taken care of automatically. Makes no sense. The old system let you change colors if you wanted.
The ability to change the size of the line is very difficult in this new setup; it requires pinpoint precision to get the pointer on the different line thickness in order to change it.
"Full screen" is no longer full screen...
Do you actually have beta testers? -

Agree with Dan from September 27, 2017. We have been with Yahoo Finance charts FOR YEARS and it pains us to watch the product commit brand suicide because managers can't override the engineers and bring themselves to revert back to what worked. Please at least provide a temporary solution until all the fixes are done. This is reliving the Windows 8/8.1 fiasco all over again.

Since you were able to make both systems work side by side under Beta, You can do the reverse. You could do this overnight and make many many customers that you hacked off happy. So do it now. Do it tonight. Make the change. Specific feedback: RE-ENABLE OLD CHARTS as beta so we can recommend Yahoo again. Every day and hour you wait causes more people who used to sing Yahoo finance chart's praises to leave permanently with a bad taste in their mouth. Rescue your brand (Yahoo) don't kill it. This is how you improve the (overall) product (Yahoo charts).

Try hiring some college grads to do the charting software.
High School students may not be ready for the challenge.
