The old interface was better in many ways. It is harder to navigate between stocks now and lines do not all show up as configured (still).
- For several months the lines in the graphs when I add 3 simple moving averages do not always fully render. I could get around it by making the lines really thick.... annoying. New interface does not have option to make them thicker. not all 3 lines show up as configured.
- When I get the graph settings I want, I want to be able to step through each stock in my portfolio. This was missing, you have re-added it, but it always goes back to top, so I have to scroll down and find my place every time.
- The only reason I use Yahoo over Google Finance is because it is better and familiar... so if you keep making it different yet LESS functional for real use, I will abandon yahoo finance for something better.
Setup 3 portfolios...with at least 6 to 20 stocks in each. Setup three graph indicators. Use 22" or larger LED screen. Zoom to 120% on firefox. Now, navigate around all 3 portfolios and you tell me if its a good interface now?

The one thing yahoo had going for it was its charting. If you stick with the new charting I will no longer have any reason to visit yahoo again !!!!

I agree that the new charts leave much to be desired. I really don't see many improvements here. The one thing I like is the new charts show in the price/volume box OHLC order where the old charts OCLH which I hated. The new charts need to have the text/numbers in dark black not gray! The draw function does show some promise but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet.
The new charts takes too many steps just to set the 50 and 200 DMAs. The old chart takes only about 4 clicks with very little cursor movement. It's much easier.

It looks as though someone at Yahoo has something to gain be pushing the new, and terrible, charts. If so, at least offer both types on your website and let your patrons choose. Just about the only thing I think could be improved on the old charts would be to offer more indicators, but even this is not imperative.

I can not find words in the English language to fully describe the level of FUBARITY Yahoo finance has achieved with the "NEW, IMPROVED CHANGES", especially in the area of the comparison charts. Simple portfolio pages are a close second. (WHY CAN'T TRADE DATE BE PULLED INTO CUSTOM VIEWS ON THE PORT PAGES???) Having used Yahoo Finance as my home page for over twenty years now, it makes me very sad and frustrated to face the fact that our relationship is over... it was good while it lasted, but nothing lasts forever, right? (What you have done over the past several months has GOT to be due to seriously incompetent engineering, OR you have a competitor's mole in your midst that has been INTENTIONALLY sabotaging the Yahoo finance web pages. I can think of no other scenario!)

Yahoo you are a joke - You have taken the best aspect of this site and ruined it!!!!!! The charts are awful!!!! If you are trying to generate revenue figure out a new way. I cant wait for the chipper video explaining the wonderful enhancements like last time. You dont' listen to your users or your on-line community. My suggestion is you give us the option on what version we can use. But you won't do that b/c of your idiocy!

Why is the interval between 12:30 and 1:30 different than all the other one-hour intervals? I am also having trouble changing the time frame of the chart (1 dAy, 1 Month, etc.) !!!

Just go back the the old chart. Too many bad features in the new chart. What are you waiting for? Yo need to fire the guy that approved this. If you who are reading this are responsible, yo better be afraid for your job.

They are too small and I can't figure out how to change the thickness of my moving average lines.

I don't like how when I change to a different chart, the list on the right often goes back to the top of the lists and I have to scroll back down to where I was.

I absolutely HATE these new charts. Previous charts were just fine. This new chart is absolutely worthless. Best fix possible is to simply SWITCH BACK! Can't be that tough to understand. Take a good look, YAHOO! 19 of your top 20 responses are NEGATIVE! It's almost unanimous. PLEASE switch us back, like, YESTERDAY!
