The old charts were a lot easier to read.
old charts were a lot easier to read for a semi-novice like me. the moving averages are obscured, e.g., the 4ema. details like that were crystal clear in the old charts.

I can't even get a fchart.
Nor can I figure out how to post a new idea.
I hate Yahoo with a passion. Unfortunately, ATT decided to stick me Yahoo for email. It is also awful.
I don't believe that Yahoo cares about its users.

You gave back the old chart during the weekend and Monday. Did not have a chance to say thank you. Now I see that the old chart is gone again. WHY? The new chart (ChartIQ) is COMPLETELY USELESS. Please give back the old chart please.

TABLE LIKE: I like current chart ability to selectively display either dividend or split charts. Now I don't have to hunt for the information embedded within the chart.
TABLE DISLIKE: However, I prefer seeing the original historical day values. With the new chart, the historical day values have to be calculated by the user using the Close and Adj. Close values. Not very user friendly. The chart already shows the adjusted values, why duplicate that information in the tables.

I can understand you guys wanted to reduce the scale of the y-axis to make room for advertisement at the bottom of the chart. Now all the charts look horizontally flat and meaningless. Find another place for ads (for example the right hand side) and increase the y-axis. The current chartIQ is useless. Give back the old chart.

Tim commented
The y axis is scaled down making the chart difficult to read. Please give back the old chart.

It has been clear since the introduction of the new finance pages in the past year or so that the software developers who are making the changes do not have the slightest knowledge of how the user community uses the finance.yahoo site, let alone financial analysis in general.
This is now an advertising site looking for users to click on news or adds. Expecting them to re-implement esoteric financial capability lost over the past year or so seems hopeless

The entire yahoo finance is now ****, lots of ads and clickbait, and agreed the old charts and simple viewing of the information you would come to the site for is no longer useful.... I use my brokerage acct now for any chart viewing, which is annoying to log in every time that extra step used to be avoided with yahoo oh well

You are making your customers angry! Please just give us back the old chart analytics. That was easy to use, clean and smart enough!
This is too chaotic with so many movements, which is useless.
Thank you for taking our feedbacks seriously!

The charts of five years ago were much better. The new ones are the result of a continuous evolution from informative for the investor to glitzy display to satisfy the egos of computer programmers who want things to "look nice."
The new graphical features are not manageable. The time axis labels are also missing on printouts in landscape format. The zooming scales override the fixed time scale links.
I am going to pay the $15/month for basic StockCharts.com to get sensible plots that are packed with information that investors want. I have been using their free version for almost a year to get yearly plots, but as Yahoo!s plots degraded, I need a useful plotting service for daily and 5-day plots.

Well said!... The old chart version was a lot more user friendly. At the least, users should be provided with the option to choose which chart preference they prefer to use between the old and newer versions. In the meantime, I'll use the charts on a different website.

I am looking at a graph of USDCAD. Today there was no graph at all after waiting. The first time I saw the new interface the graph was wide but only an inch or so high . The massive fluctuations of the last couple of years were erased and it almost seemed like a gentle flat line with a few minor bumps. The old interface was comfortable and I knew how to manipulate it for my needs. I agree with the other poster, until you have all the kinks worked out provide the old interface as an option. Currently I will be going to a different web site for my needs.
