Everything is gone because “I haven’t been on in 12 months”
Don’t you ever ******* reset my email just because I haven’t been on it in 12 months, I’m not on it because I use it for my ******* social medias, I also had a ton of family photos sent by my grandpa that has passed that are just gone now because of you and I will never, ever forgive that. This is the reason you’re a ******* dying company and almost everyone using ******* googles Gmail. ******** *****.

I am highly upset that all of my emails have been deleted. I would love them to be restored. I have had this email for almost 20 years. This is ridiculous!

I am FURIOUS. EFF YOU YAHOO. I have had my account for well over a decade and deleting all my emails due to inactivity? My deceased loved ones messages n pix were saved and you bastards deleted all my mail even the folders I created. I've gone two years sometimes with logging in and my stuff was safe when I logged back in. I hate you yahoo, I have never hated a company or detested the very name as much as I do right now, the things I had in there were irreplaceable, and I thought safe, and now they are gone forever. I hope yahoo goes under forever. You guys are pieces of sh*t and I literally hate you f*cks. If anybody figures out who to contact that can possibly get these emails back or how we can sue Yahoo for this, please contact me, because I'm in.

Very unhappy with this. I kept this Yahoo account as my old personal email account that I kept separate from my professional email account. Everything I had saved from years ago is now gone with no warning. You could have at least given users a chance to retrieve or transfer important information before you deleted it, especially when they’ve used this service for decades. Maybe this move has something to do with all of the data breaches Yahoo has had over the years. Either way, you all knew this wouldn’t go over well with your users, which is why you didn’t give any notice about your plans to permanently delete all of their emails, contacts, and files. Very underhanded of you, Yahoo. Family pictures with deceased loved ones, personal projects, contacts… everything is now gone. And then, you all have the nerve to try to sell me a premium ad-free upgrade in your first messages to me in my “new inbox.” I won’t be upgrading anything with you all. In fact, after I leave this feedback, I’m deleting my account with Yahoo. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

I also lost my login for my bitcoin. I had 92 and I would’ve been rich but yahoo absolutely ****** me ********** sideways with a double edged sword. And since I don’t have the login information I can’t get into my account

Shocker. Yahoo doesn't say anything to anyone about these comments. No condolences. Nothing. I have a recovery email. When I wasn't logging in, why wasn't I receiving a message there? All of my saved information is gone. Even the inbox. Like, since when? It was fine for 100's of thousands of emails to pile up for two decades, but then it wasn't. Okay. Fine. But why clear out 7 saved drafts and an ARCHIVED FOLDER!? It's archived for a reason! You imbeciles! Nobody appreciates this.

Similar thing. I came back to fish out a gift only to find an empty box and that gift, with MONEY IN IT is deleted. I'm permanently out of here. Congrats Yahoo.

I can’t believe they did this. I’m pressing for a law suit. I lost my Bitcoin logins and now I completely locked out.

It’s just terrible. Even though I barely use my yahoo mail these days, I do sign in every now and then to get information in my inbox. I’m trying to find an old school mate who I heard may have committed suicide and everything that I can use to find this person or find any information is gone now. This is terrible yahoo. Even if people are not checking their emails, people have memories they’d like to keep. I stopped using my yahoo mail because of the name I chose when I opened this account. I was young and ignorant and couldn’t use the email for anything now. 😔 it’s sad you don’t care about people’s memories

They did the same thing to me. I had photos and articles of my Dad in my archives and they erased everything because I hadn’t been on. Ummm my Dad died and I was grieving 😭
