Yahoo giving way too much importance to those playing in lots of leagues. The match wins for those guys w/ lots of teams in different leagues will earn lots of points, while their losses lose few points in their individual rating. The opposite occurs to those with few leagues, like me... and probably to you too.
Now why does Yahoo do this? That is my question...
Well let's see... my humble belief is that they do it to motivate (more like, FORCE) Fantasy Sports enthusiasts from all around the world to sign up for lots of leagues every year for each and every sport they play.
And, what does Yahoo win out of people playing in lots of league, you might ask...
Well, the more teams people sign up for every contest (baseball, football, hockey, bk-ball, etc), the more annoying ads and propaganda Yahoo will be able to shove at your face... and therefore, their payday at the end of the year will be mega enhanced. Simple, my dear Watson, simple!
In other words, their seemingly "beautiful" Fantasy Ratings System (to enhance competition and the "overall fantasy sports experience", as they claim) is nothing but a clever, carefully orchestrated, publicity gimmick to bring in the green in promotions to fill their pockets, year-in and year-out, because competitive sports will never go away.
Not even a worldwide pandemic could stop professional sports. So there you have it.
