Just like EVERYONE ELSE, I am also in the process of aborting Yahoo.com in favor of another provider who actually cares about their users.

And Yahoo continues to totally ignore this groundswell of indignation and protest at their actions. It reminds me of the time I repeatedly tried to ask a question of their "Help Desk" ... only to find there wasn't actually any way of contacting their "Help Desk".

So I must choose Yahoo over my job? Well Gmail works fine with IE so I guess Yahoo will be used my JUNK and being functionally is remove making it so much more difficult to delete spam, I guess it will just sit on your server.........

I doubt I'd be able to close the account anyway, I couldn't update the privacy and marketing settings in the 'new and improved' Yahoo mail, so will just update my world with a different email address instead of Yahoo. That's how I'll improve it, your own improvements are self-destructive and make no sense, and provide no real service for most users.

I have just signed up and created my gmail account, you unhappy folks can do the same and forward your stupid new yahoo mail to the gmail account. When they loose a few million customers they might get wise to stop ******* with customers that were perfectly happy with the old. As far as I am concerned they are really stubborn stupid!!! and want to chase old customers away,WOW, REAL BUSINESS STUPID PEOPLE<THEY JUST DON"T GET ALL THE NEGATIVE REACTION.I urge everybody to take a stand, dig your heels and switch to any other email provider.

YAHOO IS NOT LISTENING. TRY GMX MAIL.
PARDON MY ALL-CAPS, I'M STICKING THIS TO YAHOO'S FACE.AFTER REPEATEDLY TELLING YAHOO TO STOP SWITCHING MY OLD YAHOO MAIL INTERFACE, TODAY I FIND THAT THEY HAD REMOVED THE OPTION TO SWITCH TO THE OLD YAHOO. ALRIGHT THEN, I AM NOW USING ANOTHER EMAIL SERVICE. IT'S KNOWN AS GMX https://www.gmx.com/ I'M USING ITS BASIC FEATURES WHICH IS WAY BETTER THAN YAHOO'S AND SO FAR I LIKE IT-- NO YAHOO ******** AT GMX. I'M STICKING WITH GMX AS MY MAIN EMAIL SERVICE. EVERYONE HERE IS WELCOME TO TRY GMX, IF YOU LIKE IT SPREAD THE WORD.

I've had enough of the forced changes to basic / classic Yahoo email. Yahoo counts on the fact that people who use Yahoo for primary email won't switch because of the hassles involved... and to an extent they are right. But enough is enough. I have had enough. I'm now using the IMPORT feature in Gmail to move all my Yahoo emails and contacts to GMAIL.
Good riddance, Yahoo.
