You guys are determined to fail. Succeeded. You are making it take longer, but the result will still be the same. You are losing members. Almost all of my email addresses have been updated and I am forwarding emails to the new account. Every roadblock you put in my way, just makes me more determined to get rid of your backwards ideology out of my life. Pathetic effort Yahoo.

LET'S DO OUR PART TO ELIMINATE IDENTITY THEFT. If you forward this, PLEASE REMOVE my e-mail address and all email addresses before you forward, and use BCC when sending to several people at once. Thank you.

OK, so here's a new thing I've just run across, in the nobody-wanted-this refreshed/all new "old" Y!Mail. Trying to compose the covering text at the top of a forwarded email... no matter how I scroll the edit box, every time I press a key, the scroll is adjusted so that what I'm writing appears on the very top line of the box. Not just the normal kind of adjustment where if you've scrolled the entry point off the screen, it'll automatically home so that your edit point is visible, nor the more common and, whilst still annoying, more useful habit of snapping the entry point to the *bottom* of the text box... but the top.
Unless you're typing pure stream-of-consciousness, or have the type of eidetic memory that meant you had no problems operating those weird early 90s crossover "word processing typewriter"s with the single-line 20-character LCD displays, this is an absolute nightmare for composing text. It's impossible to refer back to or keep track of what you've written (particularly bad if, like I did, you need to include a line-by-line list of options), because as soon as you finish a line, whoosh, it's gone. Stashed into the scroll buffer off the top of the screen, whilst below the cursor there's a huge pile of nothing followed by the header of the original email I'm forwarding, neither of which are at all useful for writing the cover text.
Why is this suddenly now a thing? Who decided on it? It's bizarre and pathological behaviour. No other word processor or web form I've used (over a span of 25~30 years now, including a solid 20 with the same YM address) has operated like this. I ended up repeatedly scrolling up so much, in response to the edit point snapping back down, that I actively considered dumping what I'd already written into Notepad to finish it off then copy back into YM, which is something I haven't had to do since the 56k days (when it was a guard against the page timing out if I hung up the modem to save money).
It's not like you're earning yourselves many brownie points in recent years anyway, but this kind of shít is starting to take things too far. Screwing up the fundamental operation of the text box used to actually write emails... what's next? Making it so we have to enter addresses using an on-screen keyboard even if we're using a desktop PC?
Sort it out. Revert it. We have alternatives these days which don't indulge in this kind of BS and, despite my considerable sunk cost in the service (including some years paying you for the privilege of keeping my Geocities site alive at far above the usual market rate), they're starting to look more attractive simply in terms of usability. It's bizarre that you've managed to make a webmail service that's less user friendly now than when it launched more than two decades ago.
Also I find it amusing that in this day and age you find it necessary to censor "heII" (never mind the rest), especially given your adventures in eliciting far stronger language from your users, but that's a discussion for another time...

Original sender asked me to hide his email address for security reasons if I forward his email but I can't seem to do that. It pops back to my inbox. Please help.

bring back the old one: this one has not reply button, no forwarding button. does not recognize my stored email addresses. And the idea of paying 4.99 a month is unheard of. You should be ashamed of yourselves for trying to force this on you customers. I have had yahoo for decades, I am not going to pay, outrageous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Have your email server stop sending 2 copies of every email that is being forwarded. It doesn't show on your side, but it does show up twice in email account that is receiving it if it is nto a yahoo email account.

In the old version you could forward e-mails and delete the original sender information to protect their privacy. It doesn't appear to be possible to do that in the new Yahoo Mail version.
