User control of ad variables;e.g. flashing ads, workspace area
The 'ad' space uses more screen that is necessary. Allow the user to dictate 'ad space' requirements. of better yet, a widget button thats
allows acknowledgement , click then removes ad to increase work space. Flashing ads are very distracting- again, a widget or button to control or quiet down visual noise. I fully understand that ads pay for service. However, distracting ads drive away users.

why don't I see the first line of the email anymore??? It lets me know at a glance where I left off with someone - Why is it gone and how do I get it back? I went to settings and there is nothing there I see to change it.

This is not working so I am unsubscribing to all ads and sales pitches to lessen the amount of mail coming into my box. I am telling all my close friends it is back to calling me. Some people I used to buy from all I now see is 'little' black boxes now. I am telling them this as I quit accounts. I used to be a fan of Yahoo messenger too. Used to play yahoo games - enjoyed Yahoo Chat rooms... Change is not always a good thing you are losing loyal customers.

Get rid of the adverts. I'd pay for Yahoo mail - and I used to.

On the list of messages, a full quarter of my screen on the right side is being unused, yet the subject is cut off. Why not increase the width of the subject column so the entire subject can be read ?

Lets take an email that works fine unless we **** with it and put 2000 ads on it, and then lets **** with it and put 2000 ads on it.
Sincerely,
The Yahoo Mail Team
