Stop getting automatic news flashes on my mail page
How do I stop getting news bits (in upper right corner) when I'm in my e-mail account. If I want to see news, I'll check that. I do NOT want that to automatically show up in my mail page.

I hate this feature with the heat of a thousand suns. If I'm checking my mail, all I want to see is my mail. If I wanted to check today's headlines, I'd do that. Stop adding **** we don't need.

Yes, PLEASE stop. I DON'T CARE what is "Trending on Yahoo". When I click on Mail, guess what I want to see? My Mail!

No one cares what Yahoo thinks is "news". GO AWAY, popups. It's intrusive, assumes to know what I want to read (clueless), and wastes my time.

Since we cant just put a "THUMBS UP" or click a "LIKE" on this. Im saying "I AGREE !!!"
I hate everything your adding to these pages trying to be a F***B**K wanna be.
Thats why Im not on there. I just want my emails. I do'nt need to be "Brought Up To Date."
I don't need to know how I could have saved on something, which I find creepy by the way.
And Im not signing up or paying for anything that I've been getting for free for 20 YEARS!!!
What happened to asking first? What happened to personal opinion? It turned into " If you want to change it, click here , then here, then here, then here, then on this, then login again... etc -

I agree with the previous commenters. I don't like any of the "news" recommendations that Yahoo suggests to me. I've not liked the videos and links that are shown when a folder is empty (for example, when there are no messages in my Inbox or Sent Folder). I've gone so far as to leave a placeholder message sent to myself, just so those folders are never empty, and I don't have to see the suggested videos. And now, in the last few days, I'm getting a Yahoo News notification pop-up in the upper right, when I first open Yahoo mail. Like the other commenters, I don't agree with the editorial bias of the news items that are suggested to me, so therefore, I don't want to receive any of these types of suggestions, at any point in time, from Yahoo.

Yahoo wants to cram their view of the world down users throat as much as possible. The political ***** is nauseating. One of the biggest reasons I am considering eliminating my account with them.

These are just BS anyway. Nobody gives a flying **** about what Yahoo thinks is important.

Agreed. Who thinks these things up with no way to opt out? If I ever wanted real journalism, I would not even consider Yahoo as a source. Yahoo, get over yourself. You act like the net begins and ends here.
